The moment my feet touched the solid ground for the second time ever since we left Marcus Zephanie's place, the first thing I saw was her.

Ava.

The mere sight of her instantly erased all other thoughts running inside my head that it took me a while before noticing the scene unfolding before me.

A strange bright light was seeming to be rapidly increasing. It seemed to be coming from some source I can't pinpoint where. Avalyn was standing a few inches away with someone whom I have no recollection of ever meeting. The guy had olive skin and green eyes. 

At a far distance, I recognized Shay Zephanie standing beside a man in a wheelchair, both of them had a bewildered look on their faces. Somewhere in the middle, another person I do not know was present together with a kid whom I had to squint my eyes at to make sure I wasn't seeing things. The kid somehow looked familiar.
