Unexpected Farewells

She was shaking. Avalyn was evidently furious, the fire in her eyes was unmistakable. I wanted to hug her and reassure her that Marcus Zephanie was only taunting her. It was most likely his way to counter the recent clip that seemed to have been aired to target him. However, I don't think that anything that I would do or say right now would make a difference.

I couldn't blame her though. If I was in her shoes, I might be as furious as she is. It was clear that Marcus Zephanie had specifically targeted her. It made me feel angry as well thinking that both the video clip and now Marcus Zephanie's hologram message seemed to have been focused on Avalyn.

This ridiculous war between Marcus Zephanie and Shay Zephanie hardly scratched either of them while Avalyn who was only unfortunate to have been caught in between had received the most damage.
