Tell Me Something I Don't Know

The world has fallen and so did humanity. In the new era after the apocalypse, Marcus Zephanie was hailed to be the leader. Because of him, one-fourth of the human race was saved. He was the new hero. However, not everyone believed that Marcus was the man people deemed him to be and no one really knows the truth, except for one. *Photo for the cover grabbed from google :)

"Gratefully that was finally taken care of. I hope when she wakes up, she would feel a lot better," Julia said, clapping me by the shoulders as she made her way back to the nurse station.

"See you around, Shay," she added, waving a brief goodbye at me.

"See ya," I stated and watch her walk away, my mind becoming even more chaotic than it already was.

I wanted to scream. I wanted to scream so badly. But then, seeing where I was standing, I had to hold it in, my hands curling into fists.

I felt like X was enjoying all of this. He was enjoying seeing me suffer while he watched. He watched from a distance and is probably smirking with a drink in his hand.

Why do the villains always get to enjoy torturing their victims? Where is the justice in that?

I was boiling with fury and I was busily trying to calm myself that it took me a while to hear that someone was trying to call me.
