A little bit of us

Love. The word somehow irked Marcus Zephanie. He scoffed watching a few people on his computer screen express their affection towards the person they have chosen.

Chosen. He mused over the word. Back then, he had chosen to fall in love. He had been young and naive. He had allowed himself to be bewitched by a woman.

And look where it got him.

But did he have any regrets? Maybe. However, Marcus Zephanie didn't regret having his daughter Shay. Partly, he had no regrets meeting Charlotte either. But if there was one thing that he would change from his past, he would have chosen to pursue Charlotte instead of letting her go just like that. 

Even if she would have rejected him from coming back to her life, Marcus might have at least been there when she gave birth to Shay. He could have provided some parental support and also, he could have been there while she was growing from an infant to the five year old whom he met by chance.
