Chapter 4 - The Seal

It has been a year since Derek and Drake awakened their supernatural powers, however unlike Drake who has better control over it, Derek found it hard to do so.

Although not as bad as the first couple of months, where Derek will lose control over some trivial things, he will still lose control whenever there's a full moon.

Drake on the other hand took control of his powers after 5 months, and began to enjoy running under the moon at the 6th month.

Derek is currently inside his room, hiding under his bedsheets while mumbling.

"Alpha, beta, omega.. alpha, beta, omega.."

His breathing is unsteady while his heart is beating faster than a normal heart would do.

A few moments later, Drake comes in his room as Derek continue to recite his mantra.

"Hey Derek.."

Drake tried to talk to him but all he hears is the mumbling of his twin brother.

"Alright I'm sorry I bailed on you like that... say do you want to came with me? It's a full moon tonight maybe that's why you lost control."

"If I went outside tonight I would really lose control."

Derek stopped mumbling and answered in a low voice.

"Hah! come on let's go! Do you think I won't be able to stop you if that happens?"

Drake exclaimed before he pulled Derek towards the window and then he jumped outside through it, while still pulling Derek.

Thankfully both of them managed to land safely.

And so, after seeing that they're both fine, the two of them began to run deep inside of the woods.

As Drake run inside the forest, he let the nature wind touch his skin.

The freedom he's feeling right now can't be compared to anything else, even chocolate can't be compared to it.

However as he ran, a symbol appeared on his back once again.

Then when the moonlight touched Drake's back, he felt something burning behind him.

Because of that Drake sped up and left Derek behind.

And as soon as he distanced himself from Derek, Drake stopped running.

Only to fall on his knees as his eyes became the color of yellow.

And after a while the symbol, that glowed back and forth, on his back finally permanently stabilized and became a tattoo.

However, Drake continue to feel the burning pain on his back, the spot where the tattoo resides.

Then as he endure the pain, it became even hotter as time go on.

The tattoo is a simple circle with a waning crescent moon inside of it, the circle is black in color but the moon is red just like blood.

It glowed red one last time before Drake's werewolf eyes turned from the bright yellow one into a crimson red.

Drake then dropped on all four as he started to shift into a wolf.

The cracking sound sounds of bones began to echo throughout the forest, as his growl sounded from his throat.

Fur appeared on his body as his limbs changed into that of an animal from the human ones.

And a few moments later, his clothes ripped apart as his body grew in size.

His face morphed into a wolf shape before furs started to grew on it too.

Because of his bones breaking and forming, he felt an unimaginable pain.

However, Drake closed his eyes and shut his lips, to prevent himself from shouting.

But no matter how much he tried, a growling noises kept leaking from his mouth.

"Grhaaa!!"

And as Drake shift, a roar of a werewolf sounded not far away from him.

Meanwhile inside Drake's head, some of his lost memories began to came back.

"Aawhooo~~!!"

And then after shifting, Drake suddenly opened his red eyes and released a loud howl.

A few minutes earlier.

"Drake wait!!"

After running a few tens of kilometers, Derek felt exhausted and he slowly began to slow down, unable to catch up with Drake.

"This is so unfair, I'm the older brother here."

Derek mumble to himself as he let his back fall on the green land surrounded by the trees.

He closed his eyes before the light of the moon started to make it's way onto his face.

Derek opened his eyes and stared at the moon, while mumbling the mantra once again.

"Alpha, beta, omega.. alpha, beta, omega.."

He brought out the medallion from his pocket and place it in his chest as he continue to recite the mantra.

However no matter how much he tries to prevent it, his transformation started to begin.

His normal breathing became rough, fangs started to grew on his mouth and his nails changed into a claw, while a fur like hair started to appear on the side of his face.

His other senses became stronger as his ears grew longer and sharper.

After shifting, Derek looked up at the moon before his eye colors changed from the green ones into a bright yellow ones.

"Grhaaa!!"

Derek roared after shifting and started to run on all four.

At the Hale house in the living room, right now Talia and Peter were talking about Derek's control.

"Like I said sister, let Derek be for now it's not like he ever went overboard that he hurt someone did he?

And I'm sure Derek is doing his best to take control..."

As Peter spoke to Talia, he noticed that his sister is not listening to him at all, and then a realization struck him.

"This is not about Derek is it? It's something else that's why you're acting wierd."

"What?"

Talia asked as soon as she heard Peter.

"I said-"

Peter tried to repeat what he said, but then.

"Grhaaa!!"

They heard a werewolf roaring.

"Derek."

But only a single word appeared in their minds when they heard the roar.

They looked and nodded at each other before they started to head towards the door.

"Laura stay here with your siblings."

Talia said as she saw her daughter came down the stairs.

"Aawhooo~~!!"

And just when Peter and Talia were about to leave, they heard a howl of an wolf.

Talia's eyes widen and she suddenly shifted into a black wolf and ran towards the source of the sound.

"Hey wait!"

Peter, who was left behind, yelled at his sister and looked back at Laura before he released a deep sigh and yelled once again.

"Fine! I will just wait here!"
