Sequence Twenty-Three: Maximum Fire

Fenrir stares at Josh for a couple of seconds with his guard at its peak, reminding himself that the slightest movement of Josh is the signal for him to commence his attack. He knows that the first one to strike will have the greatest advantage, but he also know that one wrong move of will turn everything to Josh’s advantage.

At the moment, Fenrir doubts his ability upon seeing Josh. Because ever since the day he was challenged by someone, all of them failed and were defeated by his first attack and most of them are persons with well-established names in the field of slaying foul-beasts and demons, yet now he feels unconfident and is wary of almost everything.

“What’s the matter? You’re too cautious now.”

And those words break the silence on the place. For Josh it is just something he observes from the beast in front of him but for Fenrir it is more of a provocation.
