Chapter - 40

We may have heard people saying phrases like, nothing is permanent in life be it sorrow or happiness, it will pass away, time keeps changing etc. And just like other phrases/sayings which we keep on ignoring or try to avoid when someone talk about it, we ignore these also because this is something which we don't trust them to be true.

However, what happen if someday you just woke up and things start changing, may be good for some and bad for others? What if this one new day become a new normal for you? What if it raises doubts in your mind but also start becoming your new comfort.

Next day waking up around seven in the morning like usual I walk back to my room with things in my hands, however, before walking inside the my room's washroom I visit the university website to see my schedule for today. After seeing the schedule which say that I have classes till five in the evening, I walk inside the washroom and start getting ready.

It took me almost thirty minutes to finish getting ready, once done I walk outside of the room with a pair of socks in my one hand and a bag pack on one of my shoulder. I walk towards the kitchen to eat my breakfast plus fill my water bottle before leaving the house for the university. 

Reaching inside there I find mother cooking breakfast plus I guess preparing my lunch too, seeing me there mother start talking to me...

Mother: (Cheerfully) Good morning Siya.

Me: (Smiling) Good morning.

While she is busy in cooking food, I start filling my water bottle and same time we keep on talking too...

Mother: What is the schedule you have for today?

Me: I have classes till five in the evening with some time gap in between the classes.

Mother: Ohh okay. I am preparing lunch for you, have it in the lunch time and no need to eat outside food okay?

Me: Okay.

After ten minutes or so breakfast got ready, mother asked me to set it on the table while she is packing my lunch. I start doing what mother asked me to do and while doing so I notice slowly everyone start coming outside of their rooms to have the breakfast. Whosoever settling down on the dining chair, start serving their breakfast on their plates and here once I finish setting all the food on the table, I also serve my food on one of the plate then start eating it.

Soon mother join us too, she first kept my lunch box on the table in front of me, then she also serve food on one the plate and start eating it. I drink my milk in one go, grab my sandwich from the plate and putting in my mouth, I got up from the chair. I hurriedly walk towards the couch in the living room where my bag is, putting water bottle in the bag I pick it up and then start moving out of the house but not before tying my shoes.

While doing so, I can hear father shouting out something which is related to me...

Father: Slow down Siya, why are you in so much hurry? Even if you got late then I will drop you!!!

Me: No need for that father, I got this.

Father: Hey but...

Me: (After tying my shoes, and while moving out of the house) I am leaving bye!!

And before door could closed completely I hear father cursing at me in a playful way, as I left the house little bit early I choose to reach the university by trying local vehicles because my only sole motive is to save some money by doing so. As somewhere I am well aware that, this too time father will give me a less and limited amount of money only so, its better for me to start thinking about saving before only.

Well, after changing about two buses and walking for a kilometre I reach the university. As per the schedule, I walk inside one of the room for my first lecture and choose one of the most corner seat of the room which is meat for only one student to sit and study because I don't want anyone else to sit with me then distract me. In short, I am in the mode of being antisocial.

Just like this lectures keep going on, till one in the afternoon lecture goes on and in between of every lecture the free time we got is almost ten minutes. Well, it just a second day so basically no hardcore studies begin, what all teachers talk about the basic that we will be studying for two years, how studies, internals and practical will take place and one of the most thing will be attendance thing.

Apart from this, there are these two girls who caught my attention, one is Asher who I met earlier and other one is someone who I don't know by name but I memorized how she looks like. She is more like bodybuilder type figure i.e. tall, healthy and this I don't give a damn type attitude on her face. The reason behind getting my attention caught is that, their behaviours.

for instance Asher never missed a single opportunity to talk to me or sit near me but I ignored all of her efforts or give her one word answers and on the other hand is that body builder girl who stick close to Asher only. In the middle of the class she is doing self muttering something and there is this frown on her face as if she is angry on something.

Just like this one hour of lunch passed by, I eat my lunch while thinking about all this. After finishing my lunch I attend next few lectures till three in the evening and just before the lecture could end the teacher announce that, last two lectures not going to take place.

hearing, initially I thought to leave the university early, go home and rest but imagining this situation like for instance if I reached home early then all there of the ladies will stick to me like honeybee and going to ask me why I am at home early, why classes got over early in the university etc. And just by the imagination only my mood got sore, immediately snapping out from my imagination then come to a decision to sit in library rather then reaching home early.

As soon as the lecture got over, I hurriedly walk outside of the room in fear of getting caught by Asher or anyone else for any kind of social interaction. Reaching library I keep my bag in the one of locker room, taking the locker key, my phone and wallet with me I walk inside the library. Just by seeing the interiors of library I fall in love with it, its a first storey building i.e. it has a first floor and elevators are used to go on that floor plus apart from this I guess library has more that three thousand books in it.

With a huge grin on my face I start exploring the library, it has books related from all of the fields that has been taught in this university but the most interesting sections for me is psychology because they have around twenty to thirty book of it. I pick up parapsychology book named, Harvey J. Irwin then walk towards the cabin style study table and there I sit on the chair then start reading the book.

However, before I could begin reading the book actually, my mind start speaking...

Mind: Bro, we got saved today, if we have reached early home then surely aunt and granny must had surround us with questions. 

Me: Yeah I know.

Mind: This library is really beautiful, I guess now its going to be my another peace place.

Me: Same here, I just fall in love with place and you know how much I love books.

Mind: Yeah I know and love them too, by the way what are you thinking to do about those two girls?

Me: I don't know for now but one thing about which I am sure about is that, I am not at all interested in friendships or any kind of social interactions. Rest we will se later.

Mind: Well, let leave this side and resume reading this book.

After this I keep reading that book till five in the evening, well I also played game on my phone in between but I guess its fine. I walk back to the same book section again, keep the book their then I walk outside of the library. I unlock the locker with the key, then take out my bag and keeping the the key there only I start my way towards the exit gate of the university.

Around seven six thirty in the evening I reach back home, standing in front of the door I ring the bell and mother open the gate. Seeing me there she smiled brightly, step aside a bit for me to walk inside. As soon as I get inside I start untying my shoes, mother close the door behind us and then start talking...

Mother: How was your day?

Me: (Still untying my shoes) Day was okay a bit tiring but everything was okay.

Mother: Good.

Me: (Looking at her) Is everything okay at home, I mean there is this eerie silence in the environment?

Mother: (Walking past me, inside the house) Yeah, aunt has gone out for a walk and grandmother is chanting some prayers in her room. 

Me: (Initially walking behind her but later take a turn towards my room) Okay, I am going to change clothes and get fresh then we will talk later.

Mother: Okay

I walk inside my room, close and lock the door behind me then I keep my thing on the table, taking my clothes out from the wardrobe I walk inside the washroom and start getting fresh. While doing so, I can hear my phone ringing continuously without a break and not just ringing some messages come too. However, I choose to ignore them for some minutes and keep my focus on changing clothes and getting fresh only. Once I finish getting fresh I walk outside the washroom, directly go and pick up the phone to answer the call...

Vihaa: Bro where were you?

Me: In the washroom what happened?

Vihaa: Come home fast, dad needs help.

Me: Coming.

Without thinking about I walk out my house and literally run towards her house but not before yelling in the house to let mother know where I am going...

Me: Mother I am going to Vihaa's house some emergency is there with her father, will come back soon!!!

As soon as I reach in front of house, I thought of calling her so, she could open the house door but to my surprise I found the door already open. I step inside the house, seeing the scenario in front of me I got shocked...
