Chapter 19

"Can I take care of the spa, my master?"

"I don't see a problem. Is there a specific reason?"

"I like the atmosphere, and I can use it to train my healing magic."

With Omael's addition to the dungeon, a new fan club was created. Due to his affinity with divine magic, much of his repertoire involved healing and purification. One way he trained his mastery was by using them from time to time.

The aura he exuded often made him the center of attention. While he was visiting the infirmary, some people believed they had died and ascended to heaven.

"You don't necessarily need to take responsibility for it, but you're welcome to do as you please."

"Thank you, my master."

"Before you go, could you teach me some of your magic and how to use it?"

When I saw him using his powers, a great curiosity grew in me. Using healing magic while challenging the dungeon could potentially be quite helpful.

"Of course."

When he answered, his tone and expression seemed a bit strange.

"First, let's start by teaching you a simple magic spell, a beginner's spell to check your affinity with divine magic."

While explaining, Omael created a space with his magic which greatly increased the concentration of divine mana within it. Due to my ability to see mana, I could perceive that the mana concentration inside this area had increased tremendously.

"The first step is to be in a sacred or spiritually significant place. In these locations, you're more likely to find mana with sacred characteristics. To simulate this, I used a magic known as Sanctuary. It can be used both as an attack and support magic. Creatures with evil constitutions will take damage in this area, while allies will be healed and experience other effects."

After giving me an almost complete lesson, explaining and detailing how the Sanctuary worked, he decided to continue.

"The second step is to have faith, whether in sacred principles or deities. Focus on your faith and meditate on your beliefs. This will clear your mind of other thoughts."

While meditating, my mind began to detach from reality. However, when I thought I was going in the right direction, my mind suddenly started to fill with random thoughts.

"Focus, relax, breathe, now concentrate on your faith again."

As if he had sensed my moment of confusion, Omael instructed me with a serene and calm voice. After a few attempts and failures, I began to feel clarity, and my thoughts, which had been scattered, calmed down, bringing tranquility and peace.

"Congratulations, you've shown some affinity. Now, while maintaining this state of mind, start absorbing the mana around you."

Following his instructions, I did as I was told.

"While absorbing mana, focus on the mana and the sensation it generates. As you sense the mana, infuse it with your faith."

"After that, simply make it flow through your body and store it, just like you do with regular mana."

Unlike when I circulate regular mana, this mana felt warmer and more comforting, as if I were being embraced by a compassionate hug.

"Congratulations, now acknowledge the strength of your faith and thank it. This mana conversion process is straightforward and can be used with all types of elements, but each has some changes related to it."

"Do I need to go through this process every time?"

"Not necessarily, but the more accustomed you are to the process, the better the quality of your mana and the easier it will become. After correctly performing the process a few times, you'll start absorbing mana automatically."

After performing the process a few more times.

[You have acquired the skill "Sacred Mana Conversion (Level 1)."]

"I did it!"

"Now I'll teach you a basic spell. Try to use it and master it before I teach you a healing spell."

Omael taught me a purification spell, which served to eliminate impurities. One thing I noticed when using it on myself and in the environment was that everything seemed a bit cleaner, and the air seemed purer.

After bidding farewell to Omael, I started using the purification magic until I ran out of mana.

"Dad, let's challenge the dungeon. You promised to take me."

While I was resting, Luna came to get me. I had forgotten that today was one of the days the group had agreed to challenge the dungeon.

"One moment, let me prepare."

Since we were continuously challenging the dungeon to increase our attributes, it motivated us to prepare better and obtain improved equipment. It's becoming more challenging to enhance our attributes directly, but that doesn't mean we can't improve our techniques.

"Sorry for the delay, everyone. I asked Omael to teach me a bit of his magic, and I lost track of time."

"Oh, can you use healing magic now?"

"Not yet, but..."

I decided it would be better to demonstrate what I had learned rather than explaining.

"Purification."

Using the purification magic on Oliver, his equipment gained a new shine, and Oliver, who had a faint smell of food before, now seemed as if he had just taken a bath.

"Me too, please."

After using the magic on everyone in the group, we decided it was time to challenge the dungeon.

"Shall we start with the first floor or attempt the sixth floor?"

"Let's begin with the first floor. If we don't have time to reach the sixth floor, we can continue next time."

We decided to start with the first floor to warm up and get back into the rhythm of dungeon exploration.

Unlike the first time we challenged the dungeon, the group had clearly grown.

The teamwork was well-established, everyone knew their roles, and we could easily anticipate each other's actions.

The nervousness and perpetual tension caused by the monsters were almost nonexistent. Monsters were no longer something new and unfamiliar that we didn't know how to handle.

All of this, along with Luna joining us, made the first floor not very challenging. This allowed us to split the team into smaller groups to deal with more monsters in less time.

The second floor proved to be genuinely challenging. While 5 minutes might seem like a lot of time, with the seemingly endless waves of monsters, those 5 minutes were mainly used for collecting loot and tending to wounds. However, due to the increase in our attributes, our stamina was substantial, allowing us to endure the difficulty of the second floor.

To make the most of the third floor, we split into different groups, with Luna acting alone. Each group was responsible for a tunnel. After clearing a certain number of tunnels, we regrouped and continued to the fourth floor.

Unlike the first time we challenged it, everyone in the group could manipulate mana and infuse it into their equipment. While we could use some spells, they weren't enough to kill the wisps.

When we reached the fifth floor, we decided to take a break. Despite not bringing swimwear to enjoy the beach, we took off our armor and relaxed for a bit.

Upon reaching the sixth floor, we barely managed to explore 5% before being expelled from the dungeon due to the time limit.

"I think it's time to increase the time limit."

"I wanted to complete one more floor before doing that. I don't want to increase the waiting time, and to increase the maximum time distortion, I'll have to spend a good amount of dungeon coins."

Afterward, we decided to continue exploring the sixth floor. Since Luna and I designed it with traps and mazes, we decided to stay quiet and let the group explore and discover the secrets of the sixth floor on their own..
