The explosion killed millions of zombies causing an influx of Karmic Virtue to flood Zeno's body and join the tug of war between the bloodline and Undead energy.
Karmic Virtue being a higher tiered energy than the both, naturally dominated them before it decided to support the bloodline.
There was no way for Karmic Virtue to favor the undead anyway, and with its help Zeno soon recovered, his hair went back to it's shining gold color.
His eyes were once again filled with life, and he gave off a peaceful aura that calmed people around him.
Zeno finally could fully feel the supernatural energies revolving around him, this massive infusion of Karmic Virtue had opened his supernatural senses.
This world was completely contaminated by the undead energy; he could also sense this contamination slowly seeping into people, weakening the seed in their bodies.
'Huh, turns out they were doomed from the beginning. Everyone's a ticking bomb.' Zeno thought.
Without outside intervention, there was no way for the people to stop the undead energy. Only a necromancer or someone like him could have solved this issue but he doubts that someone would have come if he had not.
{*Stare*} Zeno suddenly felt Ouryuu was glaring at the system.
[...] System remained silent.
'You said, this was caused by a parallel world, and the undead there... and they were the good guys...'
[...] It didn't answer.
{Did we just steal a main character's fortuitous encounter.} Ouryuu asked the question that was bugging him.
'...' Zeno was dumbfounded.
Thinking about it, indeed a world full of undead energy generated by millions of zombies would be a nice fortuitous encounter for an undead main character.
[Don't worry about it, I covered our tracks nice and good. I would like to remind you all that we didn't enter this world at our own volition.] System explained.
The two found his explanation satisfactory and let him off until it spoke again.
[So, we kinda need to bail out before the MC of that world comes here...] System said.
{...}
'...'
Both of them groaned remembering the river and it's fury but they had no other choice at the moment.
"Well, everyone board the buses, we're moving!" Zeno ordered.
At that time he saw Hirano being pushed around, Zeno kinda liked the military otaku, so he decided to offer him a job to change his life.
"You, one with the glasses! Come here." Zeno called him over.
Hirano was trembling, Zeno's draconic form was still fresh on his mind but being a military otaku, he couldn't help himself and went forward before giving a salute before a General.
"Kohta Hirano! Ready for orders sir!" Kohta gave a salute while the students laughed.
Zeno nodded in approval before he asked some questions about guns, Hirano answered them all.
As he answered the students who were pushing him around were starting to get worried, what would happen if this guy had an actual gun?!
"Kid, would you like to join the JSDF?" Zeno asked.
"With every fiber of my being!" Kohta answered
"Good." Zeno nodded before giving him a rifle.
"Oh my god!" Kohta nearly drooled over it. It was from Zeno's personal designs.
While Kohta was gushing over his new toy Zeno drew his gun and shot him with a biomass bullet.
The bullet was designed to dissolve in his body and mold it. The excess fat and skin all got devoured by biomass, leaving him with a fit body.
He still needs to work out his muscles but years of being fat had already rendered his muscles stronger than your average highschool student.
Once the conversion was done, Kohta kind of reminded Zeno of Asian John Wick...
'God damn. I never expected this...' Zeno was shocked by Kohta's transformation.
Kohta himself just kneeled on the ground before giving another salute and joined the other soldiers with a determined look.
Zeno saw him taking out his pencils from his bag before he dumped the rest in the trash.
{Why take the pencils?} Ouryuu asked.
[Okay, it's time to watch John Wick.] System kidnapped the innocent dragon back to his cave.
Surprisingly this time Ouryuu didn't object or call for help. 'What happened to him in that cesspool?' Zeno was curious.

Once the students boarded the school buses there were some remaining ones that just didn't fit. So they rode with the military, those included Saya and Saeko too.
The two refused to leave Zeno's side ever since his little stunt of consuming the zombies.
"I just don't understand why you must eat them like that?" Saya grumbled, she didn't understand how Zeno's biology worked and it didn't make sense to her.
She hated not knowing what's going on with her brother/crush. It felt like he was never somewhere she could reach and she could lose him anytime...
'I already lost him, haven't I?' Saya thought to herself as she watched Saeko holding Zeno's hand.
The relationship between the two progressed ever since Saeko came for dinner. It kinda reminded Saya of their parents, with Zeno making the decisions while Saeko was obediently following him.
"He must have a reason for that. I can't imagine Zeno harming himself for no reason." Saeko said.
Zeno was a bit embarrassed thinking about his behavior back in Crysis World. Saeko already knows about his reincarnations but Zeno has yet to tell about his adventures in those worlds.
"Well, I had a reason, I am the only one here that won't be infected or die after such a stunt. My body can develop magic bullshit antibodies that can annihilate the plague." Zeno answered.
The eyes of the people who heard him were filled with tears, they all saw his sorry figure after he ate 'them'.
Zeno immediately earned brownie points of unknown amount.
"That makes sense but I don't like watching you get hurt." Saeko held his hand harder.
"I will try to dial it down." Zeno awkwardly chuckled.
______
On their way to the Takagi Estate, the military unit ran into some fresh zombies. These were the ones that turned after Zeno's little stunt thus their numbers were small.
Seeing Saya and Saeko looking at them in contempt, Zeno threw a gun and a sword in their direction.
"You two look like you want to blow off some steam." Zeno smiled at them.
Saya was hesitant, she never used a gun before but the one's made by Zeno were idiot proof with no recoil due to the alien firing mechanism.
Even a three year old could shoot with these guns yet alone a high school student.
After explaining about the gun Saya steeled her nerves before she took a shot... Or two... Or three...
After unloading three magazines worth of ammo Saya finally hit one of them in the arm.
"..." Zeno never expected his genius sister to be such a horrible shooter. It was honestly refreshing to see her fail at something.
'Maybe I should have focused on aim bots as well...' Zeno didn't know what to do, he could only her stance and give pointers.
Meanwhile Saeko was blazing through the undead with a pretty smile on her beautiful face.
It scared the shit out of the rest but Zeno thought she looked charming even when she was covered in blood.
Unfortunately at a moment where Zeno was focusing on Saya, Saeko's smile faltered after she kicked a zombie in the chest before stabbing her sword through its head.
Saeko looked at her hands covered in blood before she realized something and a slight chill went back on her spine.
'I would probably enjoy it even if they were not undead...' She sheathed her sword back with trembling hands before she made her way back to Zeno.
The vehicles continued their movement once the zombies were cleared and the girls had let out their frustrations.
Zeno noticed Saeko was troubled with something, he could guess the reason but he decided to handle that matter once they were alone.
On the way back they grouped back with the other units, creating a large military convoy, Zeno got reports all over the country and discovered that more than half the population were already in the bunkers.
The rest were either on the way or dead. The number was big considering the population of the country but it wasn't anything that could bother Zeno.
'Let us hope this won't turn into some fallout bullshit.' Zeno sighed thinking about the bunkers.
