A figure was thrown out of a Portal-like Dark hole that was a few meters above the ground, and he was falling at great speed.
"Haaaaaaah"

Yu Xian who was falling was screaming his lungs out because of the sudden weightlessness he felt. His momentum eventually caused him to loose consciousness.
Yu Xian woke up and sensed that he was lying on something soft, it was a patch of dry grass under a tree. He slowly opened his eyes and saw a sight that left him... Entranced. He had to be, with the Giant Golden Sun and the "air" and "atmosphere" that's completely different from whatever knowledge he had of them.
The air, later to be known World Energy, is fresh and cool.
Yu Xian cried out, "WHAT IS THIS? WHERE AM I?"
Out of the blue, he got sucked into a hole that led to this strange sphere. No one could resist not shouting.

"Eh, what's that? Who's there? I've I become paranoid by this strange events?" Yu Xian asked himself when he heard a voice in his mind.

"Oh! Since you know so much, you must have something to do with my Crossing Over, right? So what opportunity did I get by Crossing Over? And what are you?"
(No, I don't have a thing to do with your Crossing Over. An Immortal was performing some experiments and mistakenly cracked space. That Space Crack swallowed you and you should have died. I awakened due to Spatial Laws and protected you from getting crushed, safely delivering you to a World of Cultivation. The opportunity you get is to activate me, The Supreme Upgrade System)
Yu Xian quickly got the keywords such as, 'Immortal', 'Experiment', 'Space Crack', 'Awakened', 'Spatial Laws', so he asked,
"You awakened, does that mean you have always been in a 'Sleep Mode'?"
(Not really. I am the dormant power that was born with you)
"Really?! The Superman, Iron Man kind of Super Power? Are you sure you are not a parasite?"
(I am not a parasite. I was born with you. You can say I am part of your DNA. And, No! I am greater than all those superpowers you have always known)
"Oh, that's better. So what is, or rather, what are your function(s)?"
(With me, you get to upgrade items infinitely. Even living beings and intangible attributes can be upgraded. Though there are limits, it's not much of a difference than free meal)
"That's it? I'm in. So am I going to say "Activate" to activate you? The Systems bind to their Hosts without the Hosts' approval in web novels. Why are you different?

"So easy", Yu Xian said in relief, thinking he could still maintain his cool image in front of others in the future.

Yu Xian, who saw all the benefits he could reap from the system does not immediately explore the interface before him. 'Safety first', he thought.
When he got up from the ground, he looked around to see that he was actually on a piece of farmland.
He was able to recognize some of the crops with the help of the system.
"Since there's a farmland, human settlement must not be far from here", he said.
He Moved Eastward only by intuition. When he was getting out of the farmland, he heard human voices and so, he walked faster.
In a few minutes, he saw some farmers gathered on a narrow path. The path led outside of the farm to a place yet unknown.
There were both men and women among the farmers. And though they had gray hairs, they looked energetic, like middle aged. They were looking at him with fear and excitement on their faces.
At the forefront stood a man in black robe. He seemed to be their leader here. He stepped forward, bowed, and said,
"Sir Immortal, we didn't mean to get in your way. Please forgive us. We're only trying to make a living by farming. We didn't mean to witness your fall"
'What's happening? I haven't said a word, why are you apologizing? And when did I become an Immortal?' Yu Xian thought. But he didn't let his confusion show. He's quick-witted after all.
"Be at ease Mr. I didn't expect to fall myself, so you cannot be blamed for it. And you shouldn't call me 'Sir Immortal'. My name is Yu Xian", he said to them
The farmers looked at each other in the eye and understood one another's thought, 'What do you mean you are not an immortal?'
But they nodded their heads in acknowledgement.
"We understand, Sir Yu"
Seeing them still respectful, Yu Xian thought he should just let them be.
