Catching Up

Green light flashed as Vather and Arnold appeared in the familiar white hall.Vather could see the the three portals arranged side by side as they stood on the one present in the middle.He slowly got down from it as he stared at the gigantic portal faraway in the distance,and he could confirm they really are back in the military base.

Arnold gaze roamed around the white hall as his eyes locked into the gigantic Portal faraway in the distance.He didn't know why but he felt the aura around the portal was extremely familiar to him.He was about to check what it is that made him feel the familiarity when the door to the hall opened.

A man in a military uniform could be seen standing at the door.Both his hands were locked into his clothes as he stared at Vather with a big smile on his face.

"Welcome back to base, young soldier.Hope you enjoy the trip.You're a little different from the last time,what's with the red hair and what happened to your left eye,it's making me feel a chill run down my spine.Oh,you even managed to make a new friend, that's nice.I didn't think there was a human in that world." He asked as he stared suspiciously at Vather and the red haired man before him.

Vather snorted coldly at the fake welcome he was receiving.

"Do you like snakes old man"

"What?"

A gigantic snake head was thrown towards his face but the man slammed his leg down on the floor as the gravity around him seems to have increase by many folds causing the snake head to land on the ground just beneath his feet.

"You almost got me killed,old man"Vather said a murderous smile on his face.

"Oh,you managed to kill the snake I'm impressed.It was pretty strong itself.You know there are many place in that world where there are portal.I didn't tell you have to kill the snake to use it's portal.While you're a bit strong,you seem to be lacking a few brain cells."The man said with a mocking smile on his face.

Vather's eyelid twitched a few times as he was waiting for some praise from the old man but all he got was being called stupid.

"Cunning old fox" he thought to himself as he clicked his tongue.

"Come with me gentlemen, I think you have a lot of report for me don't you" he said as the three slowly made their way out of the hall.

Vather arrived before the familiar dome as he slowly entered into it causing a beep sound from his watch.His eyeballs were once again ingrained with the view of the verdant garden before him as he took a in a deep breath of the air.

Although the dimensional energy present in in the garden was not even worth mentioning compared to the forest.But still he found it a lot better than the one in the forest.

"There really is no place better than home"he muttered to himself as he slowly opened the door and found himself in the familiar room.The room was surprisingly very clean even though he was not present in the house for some days now.The Auto-clean feature present will ensure the rooms were always clean so far there's dimensional energy present in the air around the house.

Vather moved around checking all the rooms in the house as he was able to confirm it was just as he has left it in the first place.

Slowly making his way to the bedroom,he jumped onto the fluffy bed as his back bones made cruncking sounds as if screaming to him in happiness as they were finally released from their punishment of having to sleep on the hard bark of tree branches.They were slowly loosening as Vather slept on it and reminisce about his meeting with the combat teacher.

He told the man all he knew about Arnold, their meetings and his willingness to join the military.The man accepted to recruit him as his personal assistant.With that Vather knew Arnold was in safe hands as his problem has been easily resolved.He'll be able to better achieve his goal being the personal assistant of the battle king.The man also informed him of the war that will be taking place anytime soon,although he never mentioned when.

Vather didn't think he need to know when,as if it was very near, he might break down under the pressure.But if very far,he will relax his guard.He knew what matters most to him now is increasing his strength as that is the only thing required to win the war.

Cultivating more battle techniques, looking for good weapons,improving his cultivation base, understanding his new bloodline phantoms.He had so many things to do,all he needed was time.

"It's a new day tomorrow" Vather muttered to himself as he slowly closed his sleepy eyes.This was going to be the first peaceful sleep he had in two weeks as sleeping in the forest require being partly awake if you don't want to wake up in the belly of a beast.

A snore rang out through the entire house reverberating in the entire garden.It was like an ancient beast hibernating except for there was no ancient beast,only Vather.If not for the dome present around the house,he will already have a few students knocking on his door already.

An alarm rang out in the room as Vather jumped high into the air his spear immediately appearing in his hands,as he looked around the beautiful room around him.

"It seems the forest really did something to me"he said as the spear slowly disappeared from his hands while he wiped away the drool on his mouth.It really was one damn good of a night Vather thought to himself as he saw the huge bedsheet wrinkled even around the edges.

He slowly switched off the alarm as he saw the notification of him having classes in the next hour,as he slowly made his way to the bathroom.

A young man reflection could be seen in the mirror clad in a dark red military uniform.Golden light could be seen covering half of his entire hair creating an aura of righteousness around him while the half part of the remaining hair was covered in an ominous blood red colour emitting a dangerous aura around him.Powerful muscles could still be seen on his being even though he was wearing a uniform.His contrasting golden blue eyes painted the most beautiful colour match up on his face as a rune could be seen in his left eye which will make anyone staring at him feel a pressure on them as if they were at a lower life than he is.

Vather slowly took the white coloured blindfold giving to him by the man and wore it on his eyes as he might unknowingly injure the students if he opened his eyes like that.But although he was using a blindfold,he could still see everything in front of him just as clearly and the pressure from the eye has been successfully concealed.

Vather looked at himself as he smiled foolishly while saying

"A beauty enough to make all girls kill".

He slowly looked at his forehead where the crystal was present.It was pulsing with a green coloured light that can now be easily seen,as it created a regal air around him.

Vather slowly made his way out of the house as he saw he still has around twenty minutes before class.
