Abruptly, five gold coins, their surfaces adorned with a shimmering purple Vis coating, slipped through a narrow gap under the door, silencing Adelle's words mid-sentence.
"I'll ... catch up ... to the guild," Ervian's drowsy voice murmured, indicating that he wouldn't be waking up anytime soon.
After Adelle collected all the coins, she said with a cheerful tone, "Well, I'm quite hungry as well. Let's go, boy!"
The two adventurers indulged in a satisfying breakfast, and once they finished, they promptly made their way out of the inn, ready to embark on their next adventure.
"Hmm, well ...." Adelle hesitated for a moment, exchanging a meaningful glance with Leriat.
The sprawling city stretched before them, its labyrinthine alleys and winding roads a stark contrast to the familiar streets of Rumabel.
They had momentarily forgotten that Ervian was not here.
"Let's begin by asking for directions," Adelle suggested, determination creeping into her voice.
