Almost.. (Mateo’s POV)

I smiled softly at them.

Timeskip to a week left.

I grew very weak… they couldn't take me out anymore with that but they always brought stuff to me… my eyes were half way closed most of the time or I was sleeping.

(Zilae's POV): The air in the hospital room felt heavy and somber as the days dwindled down to a mere week. Zilae and Lumina stayed by Mateo's side, their eyes filled with an overwhelming mixture of love, sorrow, and unwavering support.

Zilae reached for Mateo's frail hand, gently holding it within his own as he whispered soothing words, his voice laced with tenderness and sadness.

Zilae: "Mateo, you've fought bravely. Your strength and resilience have been unparalleled. Please know that we'll be with you through every breath, every moment. You are not alone. We're here, my love."

Lumina sat on the edge of the bed, her fingers brushing against Mateo's hair with the utmost care. Tears welled up in her eyes as she spoke in a quivering voice.

Lumina: "Mateo, you're our light, our precious soul. Even in this state, know that our love remains unyielding. Rest now, my love. We'll continue to be here, cherishing you every step of the way."

The room fell into a reverent stillness, Zilae and Lumina's proclamations of love filling the air. They watched over Mateo's weakened form, their hearts heavy with a bittersweet mixture of acceptance and immeasurable love.

(Mateo): I smile softly and say "Thank.. you.." tears start to fall as I say "I… don't want to die… why me.." I cry softly
