Run out of HP

On their whole trip Xander didn't involve with any fight, and this was because they have been meeting with mostly stage 1 or stage 2, for some reason they have not met with a stage 3 beast and now out of all things a stage 4 beast has appeared.

Back in his previous life, together with his brother Orson they have been hunting stage 1 and stage 2 beasts. And now here the same thing happened again, so he stay at the back waiting for a stage 3 beast to appear and so he can be involved.

'Why does it tell me to survive? Is it that powerful? Does it want me to run away or what?' Too many unanswered questions ran through his thought, putting them aside he turned around.

Just when he turn back, a beast appeared from the bush heading their way. Since he was behind all of them, just like three meters away from his group, he was likely to be the first target.

Kicking the air he leapt upward, he kicked again....and again as fast as he could, after some three movements he remain on the air for sometime before he return on the ground. On his acceleration to the ground he manage to catch some words which were spoken by Ethan and so he interrupting.

Everyone watched Xander landing on the ground with one thought that ran inside their head....'Impossible.'

Before they found a chance to ask him, the beast was right by their side again. Stepping on the air again, he kicked and leapt upward but then he found Aston stuck on the same spot and the beast was right infront of him, changing his direction he accelerate and clash with the beast.

With his punch blast, a momentum and all his strength the impact threw them apart. Landing on the ground he was greeted by the system notification.

Aston checked his body but found nothing wrong with it except for some bruises on his right arm. "Wha..wha...what happened?" He asked in a sharky voice.

Everyone was silence looking at Xander's directions, except for Aston they had all saw what Xander had done.

Just then they could see Xander raising his arms and pushed his body from the ground. They release a deep breath, unknown to them they have been holding their breath for all this time.

The beast also can be seen regain it's composure as it fixed it's fierce eyes to it's prey.

"Form a battle formation." Ethan announced. "He might be serious hurt, he can't fight any longer."

Staying in a fight stance, everyone activated their arcana ready for a fight.

The first large horn was growing bright red as it prepare for a next charge. Running toward the group, Claire raised his hands and threw them forward. A beam of fire like snake appeared heading to an incoming beast. When an attack reached a meter away from the beast it exploded.

"How?" Claire wondered.

Everyone launched a series of attack but just like before, when reached a meter away they all explode without touching the beast.

A glowing largest horn stopped and the medium sized horn started glowing instead. Rising it's head a bang was heard, Ethan raised his hand and form an ice barrel. Still it break and everyone was hit by an invisible force which sent them flying.

It was a powerful hit which left most of them badly injured to the extent were they can't stand a chance to fight anymore.

"we can't win this, let's find a way out of here." Ethan shouted. Before they can react, the beast charged again.

"It's....coming...again." Raya murmured still on the ground hold her shoulder which was bleeding non stop. "We are doomed."

Then, Xander appeared in front of them with two sabers in both of his hands, it was suddenly to the point where no one saw him moving from his place.

"What do you think you are doing? Get the hell out of there."

Claire shouted at the top of her lungs.

On the other side Ayden and his group were fairing well with their hunt as they haven't been an encounter of a middle tier beast. Their journey was a smooth one as they add their kill count and collect crystals.

"It's time now, we have collected enough, let's go for a revenge."Ayden announced with a smirk on his face.

Passing through a plain they met with a surprising event. Four students were laying on the ground, but what seems more strange was that, a single student was standing above the Rhino type beast holding his one saber with both of his hands ready for a thrust it.

"He seems in a bad condition, on the vage of falling apart." Ayden declared.

It has been the first tough battle he had ever experienced in his whole life, images flashed back when he was in the hunt with his brother, when he ran away from the stage 2 beast in order to save his life and end-up badly hurt. Ans now he has defeated a stage four beast on his own.

Since the system was still processing for his reward, he decided to go for a crystal.

Xander thrust down his saber around the beast's chest area before scooping for a crystal.

Holding it on his hand, a surprise notification message poped up.

[A stage 4 crystal detected]

[Would you like to absorb it?]

'What? Can the crystal be absorbed?' Xander wondered but before he had made up his mind, his instinct kicked in and before he reacted an ice ball hit him.

Claire and other turn their head wondering who attacked Xander. And out of all people, they saw Ayden and his group approaching.

'This is bad, am I going to die?' Xander thought while looking at Ayden approaching him. 'This isn't good. I don't know if I can come out of this.'

Ayden raise his hand before an ice ball form right above his hand, threw his hand forward an ice ball left his hand hitting Xander on his chest.
