Resurgence

The ratmen had managed to annihilate the Red Guards. Meanwhile, on the other flank, the mercenary camp was most likely in a perilous state, and it was conceivable that it had already succumbed to destruction.

The mercenaries were in a disorganized and utterly fatigued condition. They stood little chance of fending off the fierce assaults of the ratmen.

"Squeak, squeak..."

Amid the cacophonous howls that rent the air, the ratmen stormed into the camp with a wild fury. Their forms resembled a thick, dark mass, surging forward in an unending stream, the thunderous rumble of their footsteps echoing ominously.

Hardly had they set foot in the camp when fireballs materialized abruptly in the sky. The impish demons stationed on the platform launched their onslaught. Alas, it was to no avail. The camp gate lay in ruins, and a substantial section of the fence had toppled, affording the ratmen greater access to rush in.
