Act 1 - Brutal invasion

I woke from my bed and looked at my phone for the time

[4:00Am]

"Another hell day."

Hi iam Azel Roean iam 20 years old and iam a working student!, i live in Garehan City ,i always daydream my favorite novel the "The Seven Rulers of hell", i currently work at yunica's Baked Goods even tho the salary i get isnt that good but i have no choice, its sad yes but i daydream to escape those thoughts its fun you know? I live with my parents and one lil brother whose 6 years old, my mom and dad mostly argues because of my dad having anger issues and my mom having the same issue, my dream is to be a world known artist,chef and celebrity but those dreams are kinda...far from me so i just daydream that i achieved those goals while playing a music to make the daydream better, i know that daydreaming can be harmful from your view of reality but i cant stop even if i wanted to it became an addiction, it lasted hours and hours and ive been doing it since elementary.

Iam so exhausted from doing the same cycles everyday i wish i could just get a break and relax.

I went out of my room and prepares my breakfast which is egg and rice, then i ironed my uniform and prepare hot water for my bath just as always 30 mins later i was ready to go to school i waited for my service to come pick me up while waiting for my service i opened my phone to read the novel again since i was bored but when i looked at the app and searched "The 7 Rulers of hell" nothing went up. Thats strange. Did the author deleted it? How....upsetting.10mins later my service arrived and picked me up from home to school i walked through the gates of my school and went to the building where my classroom is.

I already saw my classmates inside of the classroom I went inside and seat beside my bestie "daron"

Azel : "Hey daron still sick?" I said with a concerned tone to him

Daron : "yea" he said with a sick voice

Azel : "Well....did you do the homework?"

Daron : "what homework?"

Azel : "were so dead later..."

Daron : "please dont tell me its that witches assignment"

Azel : ....

Daron : "Oh god.."

Azel : "yea."

Daron : "lets ask the others if they did it."

Azel : "okay"

Me and Daron both walked to our classmates to see if they did it and surprisingly everyone didnt do it so our class president told everyone to tell our teacher that we dont have assignment which everyone agreed a few mins later our teacher arrived and asked us

"Did we had any assignments?"

Everyone in high tone voice: "No maam"

"Okay" the teacher said cluelessly

Thats a relief...it seems everyone forgot to do it

The teacher began teaching us about the lessons on the TV while she was teaching the class everyone's phone got a notification sound the teacher ignored it but i checked it sneakily.

"EMERGENCY THIS IS NOT A DRILL THERE'S A DEMON INVASION IN GAREHAN FIND A SAFE PLACE THIS ISNT A JOKE EVERYONE IS GETTINF CAPTURED OR KILLED PLEASE TAKE THIS SERIOUSLY"

It was weird since it came from the national emergency services of the country its either they got hacked or its actually happening i showed my bestie about it he was also confused but then suddenly the sky turn red everyone thought this was a rare sky event so everyone looked outside the window we saw demons flying around the sky with weapons and we heard running and screaming on our school gates

Everyone was still confused so they checked the notification and was shocked that it was actually happening.

"OMG ITS REAL HOW ARE WE GONNA BE SAFE?" One of my classmate said with fear in their voice

"are we gonna die?"

Some classmates called and texted their family but they recieve no respond i also tried texting my family luckily they responded with

"Your brother is in the bathroom i gave him all the food stock he is locked and safe i told him to be quiet and turned of the light iam upstairs your dad has been captured i love you my son...iam next....i hear them coming Upstairs please.....stay safe for mommy and daddy.."

Tears starts forming in my eyes full of worry and fear, my bestie came to me and grabs me by the arms and dragged me out of the classroom i was still crying i looked at him and he was also crying while running he said

Daron :"WE NEED TO GET THE GUNS ON THE SCOUT PLACE AND HIDE THERE WE CANT STAY ON THE CLASSROOM"

Azel : "WHAT ABOUT OUR CLASSMATE?"

Daron :"if we go with them were gonna get captured stupid"

Azel : "WHY NOT BRING OTHERS WITH US?"

Daron :"the demons flying will notice us INSTANTLY IF THEIR WITH US ITS A SMALL SACRIFICE"

We ran to the scout place the room has a closet where the guns are lots of boxes chairs tables and curtains we grabbed some guns and bullet we hid at a room and locked the door we didnt blocked the windows since the demons will instantly know that were in the room so we hid in the closet instead and tried calming down so that the demons wont hear our panting and whimpering i wanted to talk to him but i couldn't since we needed to be quiet as possible then i got an idea i used my phone and opened my note app and used it to talk to him by typing in the app and then giving it to him.

"WHAT THE HELL IS HAPPENING" i typed in the notes then gave it to him

"SHIT WERE GETTING INVADED BY DEMONS." he typed

"MY BROTHER IS SAFE BUT MY PARENTS ARENT HOW ABOUT YOURS?" i typed

"I cant I DONT HAVE DATA" he typed

"Do you have a phone with you right now?"

I typed

He nodded so i opened my hotspot and let him connect he goes to his messages and tries chatting his family but there's also isnt a respond but the looks on his didnt change he was still serious about the situation.

"Damn is his relationship with his family that bad? Oh my" i thinked to myself

After a few minutes later he gave me my phone back and typed

"Power off it so the battery wont drain you need it for finding your brother later"

"When are we gonna get out?" I typed

"When the demons stops flying in the sky it will take hours" he typed

I started to feel drowsy from the waiting Daron also felt tired wanting to sleep but we couldn't let our guards down even for a few seconds but we were really tired and couldn't resist to sleep so i slept first then he slept on top of me goodthing were both arent that big.

Few hours later it was finally night time there were still a few demons flying around but not as much as before so i woke up daron by Slapping him and told him quietly that we can go to the canteen for some food since there arent much demons flying he agreed so we grabbed some guns and ammo for self defense it might not kill the demon but it will atleast give us time to escape.

Daron : "Shoot the demons in the eyes that will give us time" he said quietly

Azel : "great idea" i also said quietly

We went out of the place and saw the trees in the school were burning same for the building everything was in chaos there were dead students on the ground and lots of blood everywhere i was shivering in fear while Daron was a bit scared.

"Damn is this guy cold as hell?" I thinked to myself again.

he grabbed my arm again and ran to the canteen to grab some food and snacks,

when we got to the canteen there were snacks all over the ground and blood were everywhere the counters were broken and the glass selves were broken we saw some garbage bag rolls on the ground and used it to store food and snacks but another problem occurred.

Azel :"how are we gonna return unoticed? Because iam sure carrying a whole ass big garbage bag is noticable" I asked daron with a questioning face

Daron :"oh....shit we didnt think about that."

....After the awkward silence we decided to drop the garbage bag and drop our school things from our bags to the floor to make storage for the snacks, after we putted the snacks in our bags we heard a strange noises outside of the canteen, screeching and growling so i decided to check it and saw that it is a demon

Azel :"DARON THERES A DEMON OUTSIDE!"

Daron : "Shit....prepare the guns"

Azel :"I DONT KNOW HOW TO USE THEM"

Daron :"SHIT"

The demon heard us talking to eachother, the demon then went inside the canteen, i tried to shoot it in the eyes but missed.

Demon :"?"

Daron : "BRUH HOW TF?"

Azel : "MY AIM IS BAD OKAY?"

the demon charges at me with its claws daron quickly starts shooting at its eyes

which led the demon charging on him instead, after the demon lunges at him i quickly grab my gun and shoots it's head which killed the demon, i hugged Daron after that and pulled him out of the place

Azel : "MOVE QUICKLY"

After getting out of the canteen we ran to a car luckily it wasnt locked and already has a key inside it seems like a person tried to use the car but was dragged away by the demons.

Azel : "do you know how to drive?"

Daron : "in video games yes"

Azel:"HELL NO THIS AINT A VIDEO GAME IDIOT!"

Daron : "i drive or we die whats the choice?"

Azel : "BOTH ARE DEADLY"

Daron : "SHUT UP ITS SAFER"

Azel : "if i die ILL HAUNT YOU"

Daron :"DRAMATIC STFU"

Azel : "IAM JUST BEING REALISTIC"

Daron :"NO YOU ARENT"

Azel : "FINE"

After yelling at eachother daron quickly started the engine, i looked out of the window and saw that many demons was flying towards the car ,Daron quickly started driving in a zigzag i knew it was a bad idea to let this idiot drive.

While daron was driving in a zigzag on the road many demons chased us it was like a zombie apocalypse running towards the character's car after a few minutes we managed to lost them and drove to the village where my house is i quickly went to my house and opened the door i suddenly heard a scream on the bathroom it was my brother's voice i rushed towards the bathroom and unlocked it with the house keys and hugged my brother tight while daron was keeping an eye outside

"Dont worry brother...iam here calm down.." i said in a gentle tone

"D-Dad was taken away....and the i heard m-mom's screaming and being dragged away" my brother said while whimpering and sobbing

"Uhhh guys....the demons saw us we must quickly move" daron said in a slightly panicked concerned tone

I then carried my brother in my arms and went to the car daron started the engine and drove off the village.
