Ch.83 ۞ Emmaline ۞ Part IV

BEFORE I COULD THINK, KIAN INTERTWINED HIS WITH MY FREE HAND, glaring at Elle, and bringing Aryan on his other hand. Aryan took Naveen my the hand and both the olive-skin male and Elle held Collier's hands. "What the… Aren't we going to even question it?"

"No," Collier stated. "They take me as the crazy professor of the Academy, so, they don't really ask me about what I do. They just go with it."

Weird. "What are you going to do?"

He grinned, "I'll teleport us to Verena's shadow!"

What? "What?" They all gasped.

But it was too late, as it all got dark as fuck and I could only feel the warmth of the two hands holding mine, and of my magic being softly taken way by Elle. We only saw the light when we came out from behind Verena, and her high-pitched scream hit our sensible ears like a bitch.

"What the fuck?" She screamed, and hid the book she was reading behind her. As I looked around, I found ourselves in the library… of course. "Why are you all…" her eyes went to my hand that Kian was holding and I tried to release it right away, but he kept his hold on me.

"Why are you hiding the book?" Collier asked tilting his head to the side, "Is it a spicy romance? There are countless in the library."

When Veevy showed her hand again, there was no book there, "I wasn't reading any book. Especially not a spicy romance. What the hell are you doing here? And why are you all here?" Her eyes stopped on Naveen, "Even you, Naveen? What are you all scheming?"

"Soul check-up," Elle told her, releasing my hand and going to my sister. "We have to see if your soul isn't damaged, Vee."

My sister's eyes widened as she sent a scrutinizing look at Collier, "Nah, I don't think so. I've been through that once, I'm not interested in going through it again!" Naveen walked to her and held her face in his hands, "What are you doing?"

"Why are you letting him get so near you, Verena?" Normally she would have slapped his hands away from her and told him to back off.

"Why wouldn't I? He ain't a threat right now. And he's gay!" He's what? I gasped and Kian held me tighter, as if he thought I was going to put them apart.

"Your cheeks are hurt. Maria's claws cut quite deeply," oh, yes, his family is specialized in healing. "You should be a little careful with she wolves, they are quite nasty. Their claws can really hurt you, and she purposely aimed to your face."

"Bitch," I cursed.

"She's just envious. I called her a shrimp and said her face was hideous, she must have insecurities about that face of hers. That's why she attacked me. I have a beauty that people get envious at. You said it yourself," he did? She side-glared at Aryan, "I hope you were dating her because she's good in bed. Otherwise, if that's your type, you should get your head checked on a neurologist, your highness."

"We never dated, darling, she's not my type," he grinned.

"Seems like you didn't made that very clear to her," her eyes went to Kian, "neither did you, blonde ass. If you had, your little slut wouldn't have hurt my sister!"

He clenched his jaw, "Stop blonde-shaming me," not again.

Both me, and Verena chuckled to that. "That ain't a thing!" She snapped at him, her body shaking with laughter.

"Yes. Yes, it is. I made it a thing!" He pouted. "You simply hate me because I'm blonde."

"Partially because you are blonde. I've told you why I don't like you before, idiot. And I don't hate you. None of you are worth of my hatred," she crooked a grin. "Their parents on the other hand," she completed in my mind and I pressed my lips together not to smile.

Collier seemed amused, "You are as sharp as your mom was, Verena. Really amazing. She caused quite the fuss in here, and I have a feeling that the chaos your will cause will be even bigger!"

My sister grinned, "It will!"

"That's enough," Aryan pushed Naveen aside, annoyed, and turned his eyes to Veevy. "Your cheeks are healed. It's been months since I was with her, we have nothing, got it? She was a fling. If she messes with you again, just beat her up until she gets that!" What? Is he okay with that? And better yet, why is he explaining himself?

Verena rolled her eyes, "Are you going to coerce me again? To let him do his thing?"

"If I have to," he whispered.

Sigh, "If any of you attack me afterwards, I swear I'll break this place down. The feeling from last time was horrible by itself."

What? Is she going to do it? Willingly? "Are you willing?"

Her odd eyes met the teacher's, "Not really, but yes." My sister walked closer to him and held her hand up. "Where's the glass with your potion?"

Collier caressed his chin, "We are not doing that. I'll put you inside a Soul magic cocoon, flooding you with my magic until you get unconscious. The potion was ineffective on you."

"Whatever. It won't put me in a two-days-long fever, will it?"

"I hope not!" He hopes?

"Then no!" I snapped. "She's not doing if there's a danger."

"There always is danger, Silver," Kian mumbled, serious. "The ticking bomb needs to be analyzed again. If her soul was damaged, it might have horrible consequences for her, and consequently for you too, because of your bond. We can't let that happen."

Verena clicked her tongue, "I have to agree with blonde ass on this. I don't really want to do it, but if not doing it is more dangerous that what happened before, I'll take my luck on trying it out."

"But, Vee," she paused me.

"Don't worry. I'll be fine!"

"Great," Collier clapped his hands together excitedly. "Kian, Elle, Naveen, Emma, you stay on the corner of the room, stating near her will be dangerous. Aryan, stay closer, but a bit far from the cocoon, if anything goes wrong, you are the only one here who can deal with her Fire magic!"

"I'm okay. Stop worrying so much!"

"Not possible," I snorted, unconsciously tightening my grip on Kian's hand. "Sorry," I managed to whisper in a way the others wouldn't hear.

"It's fine. She'll be fine."

"We don't know that," I clenched my teeth and he brought me to a couch in the corner of the enormous library with him. "What if she freaks out again?"

"Your sister is more used to magic now, Silver," and?

"But," he stopped me.

"She'll be fine. By getting anxious, you'll make her anxious!" He crossed his legs and put me on his lap, holding me tight by my waist, pressing my back on his hard chest, and giving me memories from yesterday, making my face burn.

My sister gasped, "Dude, don't do that!"

"What is it?" Collier asked confused.

"Emmaline this is not the time for you to get horny, fuck!" Oh shit, I forgot that. "Not here, damn it. Not now!"

I covered my face with my hands in embarrassment, "Sorry!"

"You are not sorry," she snapped. "Ugh. DiSgUsTiNg."

Kian chuckled softly, "Shut up, ticking bomb!"

"I'll still show you the ticking bomb," she cursed and took a deep breath. "Get me unconscious already, professor. I can't wait to blackout and not be able to feel what that idiot is feeling."

"Hey," I pouted.

"Lay on the center of the carpet," Collier told her and she did it, her long lose hair spreading on the ground. "Now, close your eyes and inhale deeply. Nova, take seven steps away from her." They did as he said, and the scent of his magic flooded the room. A visible cocoon of crystalline-ish magic surrounding my sister, making her float again. The more he summoned his magic, the more the cocoon turned dark. "Can you still hear me?"

"Yes?" Is that right?

"More magic then," he snorted and for once he looked definitely serious and professional doing his work. As he closed his eyes, he began to float too, and the cocoon turned darker and darker.

None of us said a word. I could feel Kian's anxiety.

As his bond, Aryan Nova also looked anxious.
