Ep.35 New Allies and Old Friends

While Mike was driving down the street Christine asked Mike as she was looking at something on her phone in the back seat

"So Mike, who were those lucky ladies next to you at the chairmen's speech?"

Mike laughed a little and said as her was turning the corner of the street as the GPS showed him

"More like two tyrants with a kind heart than ladies but they are Triple A-Rank hunters that are in charge of very Very powerful guilds and one of them even gave me a storm basilisk egg from an auction house"

Jimmy and Christine were shocked by mikes assessment of scarlet and Sam before jimmy looked at Christine and then at Mike and said as Mike kept driving

"Wait wait wait hold on, did you say a Storm basilisk? Three eggs were auctioned off from the Fantasy Auction House and you got one of them?"

Mike nodded as he came to a stop at a red light and said

"Yeah that's the one, scarlet gave it as a gift and it's name is Raiu"

Christine leaned in and said with stars in her eyes

"Have you forgotten how much I like snakes? Can I meet Raiu?"

Mike rolled down his sleeve and said as he looked at Christine

"Oh I remember how much you love snakes as I still have the bite mark from your cobra….that you hid in my bathroom for a birthday present!"

Both jimmy and Christine started laughing before the light turned green and Mike continued driving on while before reaching a pub called The Single Ladies and said as he got out of the car with Jimmy and Christine

"You set a reservation for here? Why?"

Jimmy looked at Christine before he said as he entered the pub

"Well you'll have to see it for yourself to believe it"

Mike was curious and entered the pub behind jimmy and Christine when he saw something impossible to believe nor describe as the pub was the size of a large shopping mall with multiple levels while the waiters wore roller skates before jimmy yelled at the entrance to the elevator

"Mike! Get over here"

Mike walked over and said while he looked around the massive building

"How is this even possible?"

Just then Mike bumped into someone and said

"Oh I'm sorry"

The person Mike bumped into was in fact Cecil who was wearing a cast on her arm and a small scar that partially showed from her shoulder going down her shirt before mike jumped up and said as he helped her get up

"Oh my god Cecil! I didn't know that was you are you alright?"

Cecil blushed a little and said after mike had let go of her

"H-Hey M-Mike, I'm alright"

Mike let out a sigh of relief and said while jimmy and Christine were watching the show carefully from the elevator

"Glad to see that your alright, I'm here with some friends if you would like to join us"

Cecil looked at Jimmy and Christine who were looking at them before she looked behind Mike and said

"I-I'll have to ask my family if they're okay with it give me a second"

Mike turned to see Cecil walk over to a table seated with your average family with the exception that the man who looked to be Cecil's father was in a wheelchair with an air tank hooked on the back with a breathing tube going to his nose

Before Mike heard jimmy say next to him

"Who's the little lady?"

Mike put Jimmy in a headlock and whispered in his ear

"Her name is Cecil and you will tell her nothing about 'that' are we clear?"

Jimmy patted mikes back as he looked at Cecil talking with her family and said

"Don't worry since if you do want her to know than it's better to come from you then me"

Mike said as Cecil finished talking with her family and began to walk back over to Mike

"I know but it's not an easy subject to talk about you know"

Once Cecil in front of Mike and jimmy she said with a saddened face

"I-I'm sorry but my family doesn't want me to go after we have waited so long to eat here together as a family"

Mike looked at Cecil's family who turned to see Mike and jimmy before Mike nodded and said before Mike kissed Cecil's forehead

"Family matters most like my mom always said, see you later and don't be afraid to drop by my store for a chat"

Mike and Jimmy walked away before Christine passed them and walked over to Cecil and whispered in her ear before she left to join Mike and Jimmy who were waiting in the elevator for Christine

"Please don't hurt him, he's already been through a lot"

Cecil was puzzled on what Christine meant but only waved goodbye before the doors closed for the elevator before she joined her family

While Mike jimmy and Christine were going up the elevator to the top floor Mike said while looking at Cecil from the elevator window

"Christine, what did you say to her? Did you tell her anything?"

Christine shook her head and said as they were about to reach their floor

"No I just gave a her warning as we all know how…. Sensitive that topic is for you"

Mike felt relieved before the elevator stopped and the doors opened to a luxury restaurant with a bar at the center of it and as Mike and the others were getting out of the elevator a waiter came over and said

"Hello again mister and miss's Jackson, we have your table ready"

Jimmy smiled and said to Mike before they followed the waiter

"Welcome to the V.I.P section of the Single ladies, let's go get seated"

While Mike was following Jimmy and Christine he noticed some of the other people seated kept looking at Mike with disgust and confusion but it was to be expected since the clothes Mike was wearing weren't for such a luxurious restaurant and just then jimmy noticed Mike getting the different looks he said to reassure him

"Don't worry about them and just be yourself"

Just then Mike heard a familiar voice yell from behind him

"Hey you! Turn around!"

Jimmy and Christine may not know who's voice this is but for Mike he remembered it to well and turned to see Gideon Grames seated a few tables away with a cast on his foot and crutches next to him with a few other visible injuries and just as Mike was about to walk away he heard Gideon say as to taunt Mike

"Seems you only let women fight your battles since you were a weakling when i kicked your A** in that parking lot"

Mike felt his blood boiling before he noticed jimmy was nowhere to be seen before he turned and saw Jimmy with a dagger up against Gideons throat as jimmy said with a voice as if he was talking to the scum of the earth

"So…. Your the one who hurt my friend, if we weren't in a public place then I wouldn't hesitate to kill you"

Gideon looked at Jimmy in shock and said as he not dared to move an inch

"T-That w-was the skill [Shadow Steps] wasn't it? Y-Your the Phantom Arrow aren't you? The leader of the Silent Knights? I-It's an honour"

Jimmy pulled out another knife and stabbed the table a few centimetres away from Gideons hand and whispered something in Gideons ear before walking away while Gideon got up and left the restaurant with a pale face causing Mike to ask as he followed Jimmy to their table where Christine was waiting

"So you got a nickname now? The phantom arrow? And what did you say to that pile of trash?"

Jimmy sat down and said before he pulled out a guild card and handed it over to Mike

"Yeah well while you were in a coma me and Christine have been busy over the years but we checked on you when we could while you were in the hospital"

Mike put the card in his wallet and said as he sat down across from Jimmy and Christine before tossing Jimmy a USB drive

"I already know what you're going to say and yes I'll have you as an ally if anything else and here's a gift"

Jimmy and Christine both looked at the USB before mike said

"On that USB is everything that my store has to offer but it's not much for the moment but don't tell anyone else"

Jimmy knew better then anyone that Mike wouldn't say this unless it was very important to him and said as he put it in his pocket while the waiter brought some menus for them

"You got it, now let's order our food"

Mike, jimmy and Christine continued on the night till when they were in the parking lot Mike got an alarming message just as he entered his car

Mike yelled out before driving off crazily

"Someone is trying to get in my shop! Gotta go!"

Jimmy sighed and hugged Christine and said before he disappeared into his own shadow

"Gotta go help him since he's a ally love ya"

Christine looked at the darkened sky and said to herself before she started flying into the air causing all the car alarms

"Well, guess I'll go prepare a gift for Mike... oh I know just the thing!"
