Itachi's POV

I've never seen such carnage as it seems that this village was decimated in the attacks of enemy ninja as it was on the border of Fire Country and was unfortunately caught in the middle between multiple enemy ninja.Looking at the child that could be no older than 8 years old and I felt such heartache that I hadn't felt since I was formally introduced to war. The utter destruction of this village was horrendous and I hoped that this child did not witness it fall before his eyes, but as I looked at the boy that hoped was dimmed by the sheer anguish and despair in his beautiful golden eyes.Doing as asked,I picked up the child as I could tell that he could not have move as it seems that he was here for a long time ,cradling the masked boy I could feel that the child is a little too light but not lighter than what he should be and thought about how I would feed him some nutritious foods to bring him up to the appropriate weight for a child his age.I did not realize that I was in a rare partner mentality as I was thinking about helping this boy, who would become my everything in the coming years as well as my most beloved person.
