Chapter 22

"Start!"

As soon Midnight said that, Mina instantly slide towards Momo with her quirk and shoot some acid to attack Momo, but the black haired girl easily dodge the upcoming attack successfully.

But Mina didn't stop with one attack as she keeps shooting and didn't give Momo a chance to attack. While dodging the attacks Momo finished making gloves that are acid proof. Yes she could have made something bigger to shield her body completely but her clothing would've most likely be shredded into pieces. Considering the sheer amount of people watching she'd rather lose than have her clothes destroyed...And Atulya will have to erase the memory of all the people present here if that was to happen.

So that's why she made the gloves instead as it will able to extend towards her elbows giving her completely protection against Mina's acid.

Putting the gloves on, Momo stop dodging and rushed at Mina while defending herself from her attacks.

It seems like two girls will be fighting each other with hand to hand combat. Mostly likely the outcome of the match will be decided from here.

"They're really going at each other. You looked pretty unconcerned Atulya. Do you think Momo still is going to win?" Jiro said to Atulya with the thinking if he makes a bad comment about Momo with everyone here witnessing then I can use it when I talk to Momo. But Atulya balantly ignored her questions acting as if he didn't heard anything coming from her.

"How could Momo already have this win? Mina can just shoots acid easily at her if she get too close?" Denki who heard Jiro, asked making Jiro clicks her tongue as how Atulya ignored her question.

"No...Momo has the upper hand on this one. Since we were young, we've been training with hand to hand combat and martial arts. She may be not be good as me but underestimating her fighting skill will cause your downfall." Atulya said to all of them who are listening with a pridefull tone. And all the students who heard this begin to pay more attention to this fight and soon enough they will understood what he meant.

Momo then quickly overwhelmed Mina with her close combat skills and Mina couldn't keep up with her speed. It became clear who has the superior skills in this regards and didn't take long for Momo to pin Mina down and restrains her movement.

"Do you surrender?" Momo asked Mina. The pink haired girl cannot move at all due to Momo restraining her. She sighed and thought about her mistake in this match. 'Am I really weak to not even able to complete against the strongest students in the class?'

'I should have known that Momo can use martial arts. Judging from, how Atulya was able to take out many villians with hand combat alone and pretty likely both him and Momo should have been practicing it from the childhood. Obviously, she'll be also proficient with it too.' She thought to herself.

"Yes I surrender. Congratulations Momo." Mina said with genuine smile. Even if she felt sour about losing, she's still happy that her friend won.

"Mina Ashido surrenders. Momo Yaoyorozu is the winner." Midnight exclaimed, causing the crowd to cheer.

Momo then let go of Mina and help up get up. "Thank You Mina. It was a good fight. Maybe we can spar sometime with each other." Momo said with a smile. She noticed that her friend's movements and thought that a spar will be nice to hone her reflexes more perfect.

The two girls ended up walking off together, getting nods of approval for great sportsmanship.

"Congratulations on your wins Momo." Her friends congratulate her as she came back with Mina. After thanking them, Momo sit down next to her boyfriend and hold his hand.

"Good job Momo on your win." Atulya said with a smile, continued on by saying, "You're going up against Bakugo next, so you're going to try your hardest and don't worry about the results. It won't matter if you give your all." He said with Momo nodding. Even if he didn't like the guy, he acknowledge that Bakugo is pretty strong. Well compared to the other students.

Bakugo and Kirishima fought in the next round. Just like in the anime the Hotheaded Bully was able to defeat Kirishima by easily overpowering him.

Atulya then left for waiting room without Momo as his turn is coming up next.

"Iida is going up against Atulya next. I don't think he can win." Ochako said with a worried expression on her face. Even if Tenya is her friend she still know that he is no match for the competent black haired boy with bangs.

"Of course he can if he tries. I am sure he can find a way to win somehow." Izuku said spouting utter bullshit.

"Izuku.....I know he's our friend but we have to be realistic. Only thing Iida has over Atulya is speed, but that's still not guaranteed." Ochako said, watching as two contestants faced each other and waiting for confirmation to start.

"I guess we'll see then..." Izuku said.

'Fucking Idiot. It is obvious he's no match for that bastard. I'll be the one to defeat him in the finals.' Katsuki thought. Even if he isn't showing it, he's still furious. He wanted nothing more than to defeat Atulya.

"Are you guys ready?" Midnight questioned, seeing them nodding their heads, he immediately yelled,

"Start!"

"Recipro Burst" Iida used this move right off the bat to greatly enhance his speed for 10 seconds. He instantly arrived infront of Atulya with his leg in the air, intending to hit his head and knock him out with his kick alone. You should know that using his Recipro Burst move makes his kicks even more powerful.

As soon as Iida's kick is about to connect, Atulya swiftly duck and evades the attack. Not surprising by the fact Atulya was able to dodge his kick, Iida continued on trying to land a hit on Atulya but every time he was about to land one, Atulya dodged it at last second.

'My 10 seconds are almost over!' Iida thought in panic as he missed another hit. After a few seconds finally...

"Seems like your time is up.." Atulya said as he catch Iida's leg. The boy himself went wide eyes as he realised he cannot move and fall down with still Atulya holding onto him.

Atulya walked towards the edge of the stage with Iida still on the ground. "You shouldn't have use that move from the start if it disables your engines afterwards."

He goes on saying "You underestimated me thinking I wouldn't able to dodge your high speed attacks. I mean it was good effort on your part sadly it wasn't enough for you to win." Atulya said with stoic face as he finally throw Iida out of the bounds.

"Good fight..." He said and turned around to leave the stage.

"Tenya Iida out of bounds! Atulya Uzumaki is the winner!!" Midnight announcer as crowd erupted in cheers.

"He's defeating his opponents with no difficult what so ever. Being able to defend against those high speed attacks at the last second as well is something to note of."

"Yeah... that's true, but that other kid did well too. Having such great speed. I'm sure we would be able to see more if he didn't used that move right off the bat that made him immobile."

"Of course his speed is nothing surprising when you considered the fact his brother is Ingenium."

"Ahh... that's make sense."

Atulya didn't go to the stands instead went towards the waiting room because he saw Momo go there after he defeated Iida.

As he was walking there, he suddenly sense an ill intent directed at him from around the corner so he look back and saw someone interesting, murderously glaring at him.

"Hmm? It's just you..." Atulya said with a smile as he stared into the eyes of Number two Pro Hero, Fried Musta *cough*cough* I mean Endeavour.
