Chapter 34

The morning light fills the room as I wake to my alarm clock blaring. Reaching over to turn it off, I get out of bed and shower to prepare for the day. Everyone may not allow me to go into the office for a bit, but I don't need to stay in my pajamas all day. After getting dressed in a nice pair of jeans and a button-up T-shirt, I had to grab a cup of coffee before proceeding down the hall to the office. Huxley had the cleaners sanitize the room after what happened the other day.

As I sit in the office chair, the doorbell rings. Everett must be early today since we are working from the home office for a few days. In the distance, I can hear Jaxon answer the door and tell Everett to head to the office since I am already there. His footsteps approach the office as I pull out the tools we will need to work on that needs to be done today and finished promptly.
