Chapter 33

As we exit my office and I lock the door, Lily goes on to the elevators to head out on her own after she bid us farewell. Christopher walks with me with his hands in his pockets but with a look of deep thought on his face. I can tell that he wants to ask me something but is probably trying to figure out if he should. Finally his internal war comes to an end as he glances at me.

"I think that your assistant has a crush on you," Christopher states as he tries to keep his face blank.

I stop in my tracks as I look at him in shock at what he just stated before I burst out laughing. Christopher waits for me to finish as he watches me with a curious expression. As my laughter dies down, I look at him as I shake my head. "That's impossible. There is no way he is interested in me."

Christopher tilts his head to the side as he gives me a look of 'seriously' that is comical. "I could tell by the way he was acting. I didn't like it when he pulled up your shirt either."
