Natalia POV

I stare at Christopher as his words replay in my head. We are still married. The papers were never filed so we are still legally together just separated. Max is one of the best lawyers in the city and he just "forgot" to file the papers. There is more to this than I am being told.

"Where is Max right now?" I ask Christopher. He is looking at me like he is scared of how I am going to react to the news.

"He said he was going to be in his office getting ready for your visit," Christopher states as he looks at me in curiosity.

"Good," I say as I stand up to leave. Christopher stands up as well and goes to follow me as I head for the door. Everett stands up when he sees me walk out of my office and I shake my head at him. "I will be gone for a little bit. If anyone comes by, take a message."
