Snake Eyes and Black Widow

This is a story of Snake Eyes (GI-Joe) being a operative in the fantastic world of the MCU. Of course, as this is introducing a character from an entirely different universe this story will be an AU. Without further ado, please take a dive through the eyes of Snake. Disclaimer all rights and permissions stay with the original writers and creators. This fan-fic is just to take a spin on what it would be like to have one of my favorite characters in the MCU.

Chapter 14: Unraveled Secrets

The cool night air greeted Natasha, Snake Eyes, and Stark as they emerged from the facility, the weight of the recent battle hanging heavy in the atmosphere. The Overseer, now bound and flanked by Snake Eyes and Natasha, remained defiant, his sharp eyes glaring at them from beneath his bruised face. He was beaten but not broken, and that worried Natasha. Men like him—men who believed in something larger than themselves—never saw defeat as the end. They saw it as an obstacle to overcome.

Stark, his suit fully operational again, hovered just above the ground, scanning the perimeter with his repulsors at the ready. His face was grim, the usual playfulness absent after the intensity of the last hour. "I can't believe I'm saying this, but we need to get out of here before this whole place goes up again."

Natasha gave a curt nod. "We'll need a secure location to interrogate him," she said, her eyes flicking toward the Overseer. "Somewhere off the radar. We can't risk him pulling any more tricks."

Stark's faceplate lifted, revealing his grim expression. "I've got a safe house about twenty miles from here. Shielded, off-grid. We can lay low and figure out our next move there."

Snake Eyes remained silent, his focus unwavering. Natasha caught his glance and nodded in agreement. They had secured the facility and stopped the immediate threat, but the fight was far from over. The Overseer's operation stretched beyond this single base, and they had barely scratched the surface of his twisted plan. There were still enhanced soldiers, bases, and who knew what else scattered across the globe. This was only the beginning.

They moved quickly, keeping the Overseer under tight watch as they made their way to a hidden airstrip where Stark's private jet awaited them. Natasha couldn't help but feel a sense of unease creeping over her. The Overseer's confidence hadn't wavered, even after everything they'd done. He still believed he was in control, and that made him dangerous.

As they boarded the jet, Natasha caught Stark's attention. "Tony, we need to run a full sweep of his systems. He's too calm. He's holding something back."

Stark nodded, the usual glint of humor absent from his eyes. "Already on it. J.A.R.V.I.S. is scanning him now, but something tells me we're dealing with more than just tech here."

Snake Eyes, as always, stayed silent but alert. His presence beside Natasha was a constant reminder of their unspoken bond, forged in battle and silence. Together, they had faced countless threats, and this felt like another test. But with every step forward, the stakes seemed to rise higher.

Inside the jet, the Overseer was seated in a reinforced chair, his arms and legs restrained by cuffs designed to withstand even the strongest enhanced individuals. Stark had made sure of that. The Overseer's face was blank, his eyes watching them with a quiet intensity, as though he was waiting for them to ask the right question, the one that would unlock the real game.

Natasha sat across from him, her gaze piercing. "You've been one step ahead this entire time. You knew we'd find this base, and you knew we'd stop your plan. So what's the real objective here? What are you really after?"

The Overseer's lips twitched into a smile, one that made Natasha's blood run cold. "You think this was about a single base? A single operation? You still don't see it. This isn't about me. It's about what comes after."

Natasha's eyes narrowed. "And what comes after?"

The Overseer leaned forward slightly, as much as his restraints would allow. "A world remade. A world where those who are strong—those who can adapt—survive. You and your friend here"—he nodded toward Snake Eyes—"are relics of the past. You fight to maintain order in a world that's already begun to change. The enhanced soldiers you stopped today were just the beginning. The real power lies in the people willing to embrace evolution."

Snake Eyes, who had been standing silently by the wall, shifted slightly, his eyes narrowing behind his mask. Natasha knew that look. Snake Eyes had seen men like this before—fanatics, people who believed in a higher cause so deeply that they would stop at nothing to see it realized. And that made them unpredictable.

Stark, who had been monitoring the exchange from the cockpit, turned his attention to the Overseer. "So, let me guess," Stark said, his voice dripping with sarcasm. "You think you're some kind of next-gen prophet, huh? Gonna save the world by turning everyone into glorified batteries?"

The Overseer's smile faded. "You still don't understand, Stark. This isn't about control. It's about survival. When the world crumbles—and it will—the strong will rise. The ones who have embraced their potential. And that potential lies in the technology you've created."

Natasha's heart raced as the pieces began to fall into place. "You're not just after enhanced soldiers. You're trying to build a new generation of superhumans, powered by arc reactor technology."

The Overseer's eyes gleamed. "Exactly. The arc reactor is the key to unlocking true human potential. It's limitless energy, Stark. And combined with the right enhancements, it can create a new kind of human. One that's immune to the weaknesses of the past."

Stark crossed his arms, his face tightening. "You've lost it. You think you can just plug people into my reactor tech and turn them into superheroes? It doesn't work that way."

The Overseer's smile returned, this time filled with a dark certainty. "It's already happening. There are people out there, soldiers, civilians—people who are willing to become something more. You can't stop it. You're just trying to delay the inevitable."

Natasha leaned forward, her voice deadly calm. "We'll stop it. We'll find every one of your bases, every enhanced soldier, and we'll shut this down."

The Overseer chuckled softly, shaking his head. "You're too late. My work has already begun. There are more facilities, more people ready to embrace the future. And when the time comes, you won't be able to stop them."

Snake Eyes moved closer, his presence looming over the Overseer like a shadow. He didn't speak, but the intensity in his gaze said enough. He had seen what happened when people let power corrupt them, when they twisted it into something unnatural. And he wasn't going to let that happen again.

Natasha stood, her eyes cold as steel. "We'll see about that."

As the jet soared through the night sky, heading toward the safe house Stark had mentioned, Natasha's mind churned with the implications of what the Overseer had revealed. This wasn't just about one madman with a delusion of power. This was bigger—much bigger. And if the Overseer was telling the truth, they were dealing with a threat that extended far beyond anything they had anticipated.

She glanced at Snake Eyes, who was already scanning the room, his instincts sharp as ever. He gave her a subtle nod, as if to say, We've got this. But Natasha knew the road ahead would be treacherous. The Overseer's network was vast, and his plan was already in motion.

For now, though, they had him in custody. And that meant they had a chance to stop whatever was coming—if they could find the rest of his operation in time.

As the jet sped through the night, Natasha allowed herself a brief moment to breathe. This battle was far from over, but she knew one thing for certain: as long as she and Snake Eyes were standing, they wouldn't stop fighting.
