Chapter 26 The Second Day Of The Tournament

The First Day of the tournament ended.

By the end of the day, there were only 64 students left participating.

Out of the 680 plus students,it was wittled down to the last 64.

Most of them fought twice or thrice.

There was nothing surprising that happened in yhe matches.

On Eiji's class, only, Eiji, Lime, Renji and Newark remained.

Most of their classmates were defeated in the second round while there were others that managed to get to the third round,in the end though, they still lost.

Eiji was now back at his dorm, resting after eating his breakfast.

After he parted ways with his classmates, he talked with his master and was told to get some rest after what happened in the stands from that morning.

It seemed like his master knew what happened to him, and told him to not bother and think about it.

Eiji also understood that he had some fault at that moment, he tried to pry into one of the strongest person in the whole kingdom, maybe not him directly but it was his son, so, him wanting to figure out who was it that was spying on them was normal, Eiji getting suffocated by his power was his own undoing for being weak yet daring to do so.

And so, Eiji didn't think about it again as the other party didn't continue the matter either.

The next day, same as always Eiji arrived at the stadium and looked for his three other classmates in the waiting area.

The others that were eliminated were now at the audience seats cheering for them and some were even eating snacks waiving at them.

"Our classmates are still rooting for us! Eiji, you have to win alright!"

"Huh? Me? Why not you Lime?"

"Ehhh.. I want you to win though!"

Eiji was a bit speechless at Lime's unwavering confidence in him.

All these years, Lime was getting her confidence from Eiji as well as becoming her moral and emotional support, so she developed to be quite dependent with Eiji over the years.

"Hey! What about me?! I'm here too! I can win this too, you know!"

Renji, wasn't happy at the side, hearing Lime only thinking of Eiji winning the tournament.

"Hmmp! So what if you're there? Can you win against my brother?"

"Eh?! W- well I'll tr- wait can Eiji even win against him?!"

"Eh?! I don't know, but I know Eiji can do it!"

"What????"

"Ehh..I can't win against him you know!"

Renji really wanted to prove his point.

Newark at the side just watched them.

As Lime and Renji was arguing, the fourth round of the tournament started.

Now the stadium that was broken up into different arena's yesterday was now a transformed in to a single huge arena.

There are only 64 people and 32 macthes in the fourth round and so on, until it the last 16 participants are left today.

After a few words from the headmaster, the tournament officially started again.

Then the names were called.

Now they can watch each single matches in the arena. All the audience can concentrate on a single fight in the huge arena now.

Just like that, each match was fought match after match.

"Next Match! Renji Barto vs Huna Sean!"

"Oh it's me! And this guy looks strong! Just watch Lime! I'll win this fight and prove that I'm better than Newark and even Eiji!"

"Bleeehh!"

Although Renji said so, the only response he got from Lime was a her sticking her tongue out with a funny face.

"You! Tsk!"

Renji was angry at Lime's actions but let it slide as he was now gonna fight, if he doesn't get in the arena now, he'll be disqualified and automatically lose.

Renji wasn't actually jealous at Eiji being close at Lime, He wasn't even attracted to Lime, for him, he just wants to prove that he is stronger than anyone in the class.

And in this tournament, it can also help him prove that he is one of the strongest student in the school!

Renji came to the arena, he looked at his opponent vigilantly, his opponent was from the Huna clan, with their heritage and resources, his opponent will be very strong and he needs to do his best to win!

Huna Sean has a serious look in his face.

Because of yesterday's events, they were especially told to show their powers so that people won't have any ideas that their clan was easy to bully.

There were 7 of them in the clan that were the same age, yet only 2 of them were now left at this round.

Sean was given the task of overpowering his opponent and make sure that he always win convincingly!

"Bow! Ready.. Fight!!!"

Renji then posed for the Quick Draw technique.

*Swoosh!

He arrived in front of Sean as he drew his wooden katana in a slash!

*Piak!!

Sean parried his slash with his wooden sword and then used his momentum of dodging at the side to attack!

*Bam!

Renji blocked the attack and retreated.

Both of them looked at each other and got ready for another exchange.

*Swoosh!

This time, Sean went in first!

With a green aura coating his wooden sword, he started to use his clans sword arts!

*Swoosh!

Renji hurriedly retreated!

*Banngg!!

But in the next attack, Renji couldn't dodge in time and could only block it with his katana.

Renji retreated but the last attack of the sword art's sequence was now coming!

Renji saw the momentum of Sean and he knew he wont be able to dodge and couldn't block this attack!

"Hhaaarrggghh!!!"

So he decided to just go ahead and attack as well!

" Fiery Blade! Haarrghhh!!!!!"

Fiery Blade was a C class technique, this was the second technique that Renji decided to take when they were allowed to take a single technique in the sword pavilion.

As a C class and fire type technique, this has a lot of burst power, but Renji right now was just an Elite level swordsman.

C class and above level techniques can only be perfectly performed by those at the master level and higher.

Even though that was the case, Renji practiced this technique diligently enough that he can now coat his wooden katana with his own fiery red ki!

*Swwoooosshhh!!!

"Haaargghhh!!"

"Haaaaaaa!!!!!"

Both of them shouted as the green and red aura's in their sword collided!

*Baaannnggg!!!!

*Swwooshh!!

The dust raised up in the air and at that moment, no one could see what happened to the fight.

Slowly the dust settled down and in the arena was Sean panting heavily and using his sword as he half kneeled on the ground.

At the other side was renji, completely knocked out and even had his wooden katana broken!

"Winner, Huna Sean!"

"Renji couldn't win huh?!"

"Hmmm!"

Eiji and the others looked at Renji in concern, but didn't go to the hospital along side the teacher that was carrying him as they still has their own match.

But from the looks of things, he didn't have any serious injury and he seemed like he just fainted from the attack of Sean.

At the Headmaster's area.

"Hmm.. Huna Sean huh? Not bad I must say, he can perform their clan's sword arts in such a mastery at his age, even if it wasn't as masterful as Ama yesterday it still isn't that bad!"

"Yeah! And his opponent could also be said to be a very hard opponent for him. They have an almost equal power! And this kid.. Renji? Renji Barto is a civilian kid!"

"Hmm! It seems like there are good seedlings in this year's batch headmaster! This Renji kid managed to practice a C class technique at this level, and it seems like it suits his style and character, I will vote for him to graduate!"

"Me too!"

"As Do I!"

"No problems here!"

After their discussion, they started to decide for Renji's graduation approval.

And without Renji's knowledge, he now is a graduate and full fledge swordsman as he got the approval of the teachers as well as the judges!

Meanwhile, he was now going to the hospital, getting carried in the stretcher by the two teachers.
