"TREVOR?"
I blinked my eyes rapidly. Was I imagining him here? Had I finally lost my mind after all of this?
In front of me stood Trevor, his hands crossed behind his back. In the few weeks that I hadn't seen him, he looked...different. He still had the same, brown tousled hair, matched with his dark eyes. His usual scowling expression was wiped away as he looked almost...ashamed.? I took in his disheveled?appearance. Smudges of dirt were smeared across his face and his hair was an unruly mess. The bags under his eyes almost compared to black rings as he looked like he hadn't slept in weeks.
"God, it really is you." Trevor breathed in awe, "Y-You've been missing for weeks, Isla. We all thought that you were..." he cast a side glance at Nikolai, clearing his throat.
"I'll leave you two to talk for a minute," Nikolai muttered, "But Isla, you're going to have to get checked out in a minute, okay?"
I numbly nodded my head, unable to break away from Trevor's gaze, "Sure..."
