Chapter 9: The Future House

Short recap:

I entered the room and locked the door behind me. This room holds so many memories.

I remembered the day Storm, our friends, Zachary, Amaya and I crossed paths with this mansion. This mansion I am currently living in was abandoned; it was not in use for close to a decade. Even though it was not used for 10 years it was still in good condition. We were in sophomore year; we decided to ditch and spend time exploring the woods. It was Storm’s idea since she didn't really want to be around anyone except us. The rest of us agreed since we never really hung out in the woods except Storm.

(Few months after the charges were dropped)

Flashback:

Dino’s POV:

I didn't really wanna be here but at the same time I did. Timothy, Amaya, Storm, Zach, a couple of other friends and I were exploring the woods. Since the rumors of the murders in the woods escalated no body comes in here or near here. This nearest house in the area is a couple miles away. When people found out that Storm bought the Property, people left their house and land. Because of the amount of money she has, she bought all the houses, all the land that was abandoned. We only knew she bought everything but we didn't know about the house or so-called mansion that was deep inside it. Mostly everyone knew about Storm’s mafia; the people who knew were the people she was close to. Storm has connections that anything she wants she gets. The police station was still in the neighborhood. The only difference was the abandoned neighborhood. When I tell you it's a lot of land it's a lot. We ended far into the woods when we stumbled upon the mansion. It was not a mansion, it was a damn castle. How come no one saw this?

As I was about to ask the question, Storm said, “I cloaked it.”

Zachary asked, “What do you mean?”

“You know how warlocks are able to make things disappear to the human eye?”

“Yeah.”

“Well that's what I did. I hid it from the human eye.”

“Did the officers know?”

“Most.”

“Now let's stop talking about this. Let's go inside.”

Storm took the lead and led us into the house. The house was in good shape but was covered in weed and vines.

The castle was amazing but if the whole castle was cleaned then the whole palace would be a whole lot better.

We entered the castle and there were vines, weeds, everywhere. As we took a look around the whole castle from time to time we could see butterflies flying around. The castle was huge. I am not going to lie, I got lost multiple times.

As we ended our tour Storm said something unexpected, “Guys, I have to tell you guys something.”

“What is it, Storm?” Timothy asked with sternness.

“Did someone hurt you,” Timothy asked again while taking steps forward.

I knew Timothy and Storm had history but there was always something in Timothy that made me think that he still loved Storm.

“No Timothy. Nobody hurt me. You guys know how I bought this place and the area from the people who used to live here right?”

We all nodded.

“Well, I actually bought this house when I bought the woods or the area you can say.”

“You bought this house,” we asked in shock and surprise. We knew she had money but not this much.

“ I have ‘savings’. ”

Timothy still looked at Storm with anger but you can see lust in his eyes that he was trying so hard to hide.

Storm was trying to hide the fact that she was getting hot inside because of the want for Timothy but she knew it was wrong. Everyone knew that Amaya liked Timothy but Timothy did not. Storm was not going to hurt her.

“Yeah so because of me buying the property I bought the house as well. I don't know what I am going to do with it but I know that I am going to fix it and give you Dino.”

I was shocked, “What?!”

“Yeah, I wanna give you this house and I want to make the property with the others in a new base or home for my soldiers or employees.”

“Why me?”

“I don't know. I just feel you are going to give it a good value. I can't really explain it but I trust you. You guys if you want you can live in this castle or take the houses outside the woods or surrounding the woods inside.”

“Really?”

“Yeah.”

Flashback ends:

After months close to two years of fixing the properties the area was stunning. All of our friends decided they wanted to stay in the castle. We decided we wanted to raise our families together and we did and are doing right now.

The room I was currently in was the room where Zach and I would spend our nights together when my parents would fight or just plain out bored. We would always be here; we were never at our mansion. My parents were always yelling that it got to the point where I would be scared since I could hear cops coming to my house to stop my mom from killing my dad for a reason that I couldn’t make out. My father was gone for days at a time close to months. Every Time I saw him I was happy. When I was younger this house was lifeless. As years passed by I gave this house hope and light into the darkness. Even after everything I am still standing. This was the future house that everyone needed to feel safe and we were.

I could hear the guests downstairs talking with each other but I didn't know how I was going to do it with Zachary. I was still shocked. My Zach was alive. I was Dinosaur. I made it so did he. I want my zach back.

A couple minutes later Amaya knocked on my main office door. I walked out of the door and locked it. I put the picture where it belongs and opened the door.

Amaya said, “everyone is here.”

I was ready but I wasn't ready to meet them….
