Return of the Old

Lady Nagant speeds up and tries to make it to where Stain was left. She arrives at where she left him and she quickly gets out of the car and rushes over to what seemed to be a pool of blood. "Stain!" Lady Nagant calls out but to no response. She looks around the area before finding a trail of blood and followed it to one of the destroyed buildings. She walks in and looks around the destroyed rooms not noticing someone in the shadows. The person in the shadows disappeared and Lady Nagant investigate each room on the ground floor before moving up the stairs to the second floor. She reaches the second floor and looks around. She enters a room and notices another small blood stain in one of the rooms, not noticing the shadow passing her from behind but she hears its footsteps and turns around. She begins getting nervous and activates her quirk before cautiously investigating the other rooms. She walks into another room and notices another bloodstain on the floor again and while investigating, she sees a handprint from what looked like blood on a vent in front of her. She walks closer to it and prepared her quirk before reaching out her hand to open the vent. "Don't take another step." a deep voice says from behind which startles Lady Nagant. She turns her head slightly and sees the person's holding a sword to her back. She quickly turns around and blocked the person's sword before moving back and aiming her gun at him.

"Who are you?!" Lady Nagant says before studying this person. He has long black hair, wearing black clothes, and has a mask covering his face. "That isn't something you need to know." the man says before pointing the sword at her and lady Nagant realizes the sword belongs to Stain. "Where did you get that?!" Lady Nagant asks with a growing angered expression. "The corpse of the Villain Slayer." the man says. "Where is he, I went to where I left him but he was gone." Lady Nagant asks. "That isn't your concern any longer." the man replies and Lady Nagant fires at him but he dodges and dashes towards her and she quickly dodges before firing again and again but he dodges and brings down Stain's blade but she blocks it with her gun but he quickly sweeps her legs, causing her to fall to the ground and held the blade at her face. "I won't kill you but you're wasting your time searching for the Villain Slayer, he was killed in battle and I buried him myself. You won't need to search for him any longer." the man says. "Why did you bury him?" Lady Nagant asks. "A hero deserves a proper burial." the man says before turning around and jumping out the window. Lady Nagant runs to the window but to her surprise, he was gone. On the roof a man is standing alone, waiting for his partner. Suddenly the man with the mask appears behind him. "I appreciate you distracting her for me while I escape." the man says. "Don't mention it." the masked man says before passing the blade over to him. "I do apologize since you had to reveal yourself after staying in the shadows for so long, Eraserhead." the man says before the masked man removes his mask revealing himself to be Eraserhead however with an eyepatch on his left eye and a long scar across his face. "Don't use my old hero name. I go by Night Watcher so I don't get recognized." Eraserhead says. "I truly didn't expect you to still be alive. After your battle with Lemillion, everyone thought you had passed." the man says. "I'd like to keep it that way, if you want to come with me then I trust you won't expose who I am." Eraserhead says with a menacing gaze and the man nods in agreement. "We can't stay here for too long, lets move." Night Watcher says before wearing his mask again and they both walk away.

Lady Nagant walks out of the building and gets back in her car. She turns on her engine and remembers her fight with the mysterious man. She feels a strange sense of nostalgia when she fought him but ignores her feelings and drives off towards the laboratory. She drives for an hour before arriving at the Hero Association Research Lab. She walks in and shows her hero id to a worker and she brings her into the lab. They enter an elevator together before it goes down. "Has Shigaraki arrived here yet?" Lady Nagant asks. "Yes, he arrived about a half-hour before you did." the woman responds before the elevator door opens and they walk out. She leads her to a room and opens the door, there she sees Shigaraki and a man she assumed was the head scientist. "I'm sorry to interrupt." Lady Nagant says. They all turn to her with slight surprise. "What brings you here Lady Nagant?" Shigaraki asks. "I have some information I need to tell you and I'm here to assist you in any way I can." Lady Nagant says. Shigaraki and the scientist pause and look at each other for a moment before Shigaraki turns to her. "Grab a chair." he says. Lady Nagant explains her encounter with the masked man and the death of Stain. "I see. This masked man does seem to be a problem. If he also had Stain's sword then he could've been involved in his death." Shigaraki says. "That still doesn't explain why this man had not been seen with Toshinori nor have ever been reported prior to today." the scientist protested. "I don't know who he is but he wasn't reported by Stain when he infiltrated Toshinori's home. That means he wasn't there with him. He also said he had personally buried Stain and when I asked why he had done so he said 'A hero deserves a proper burial'." Lady Nagant added. They all thought for a moment. "I suppose we will respond to this issue on a later date. We have far bigger problems to deal with." Shigaraki replies before turning to the scientist. "Professor Nine, what has your research into the demon's blood provided?" Shigaraki asks. "Nine?" Lady Nagant asks and Professor Nine turns to her. "I forgot to introduce myself, I am Professor Nine. For security reasons my real name is kept hidden from everyone so you can call me Nine if you'd like." Professor Nine replies before turning back to Shigaraki.

"Unfortunately it'll take more time before I can learn anything about this and how it affects the body but if your report is valid then this might be the most dangerous vial we have." Professor Nine replies. "Very well, I'll leave it to your care." Shigaraki replies before excusing himself and walking out of the room and Lady Nagant follows behind him. "What should we do now?" Lady Nagant asks. "We must gather more information. I will gather more information as fast as I can before October 8th." Shigaraki says. "Why until two weeks from now?" Lady Nagant asks. "America is currently in anarchy, the one pulling the strings is their most feared villain. Their former number 1 Hero, Star and Stripes. Now named Blood and Anarchy. I have been asked by the American government to give my assistance in taking her down along with other fellow number 1 heroes as her quirk is extremely dangerous." Shigaraki explains. "I see, so you don't have much time here in Japan." Lady Nagant says and Shigaraki nods. "It will likely take a while before I can return so I must gather as much information as possible before leaving however I will try to return within a month or so." Shigaraki finishes. "I see." Lady Nagant says. "I'll begin a thorough investigation into Toshinori, along with preparations for our battle against him, while I'm doing so I have a job for you." Shigaraki says. "What is it?" Lady Nagant asks. "I want you to gather information on the person who attacked you and dig deeper into who they are."
