A whisper.

Xadia didn't know what he was to call his situation right now. Maybe a blessing in disguise but that wouldn't ultimately describe his situation. At the moment he is dwelling in a body not of his own, but of a first-year who he could only term as a power-hungry bully.

When he escaped from the group yesterday, he thought that it was luck, that the new era was finally ready to embrace his presence. But an even worse scenario came into play, practically destroying his new sense of acceptance.

In the end, all the plans made to avoid an encounter with the group were futile and ineffectual. He rated the group with a low judgment. He somewhat thought he could withstand the group with their leader being the exception, but the strength they showed in the beginning wasn't their true strength.

Individually the group was a force not to be reckoned with, and although Xadia didn't know it, he was getting more used to the body he was using. Enough attunement to be able to melt the plant attack from the Emitter of the group. One thing he knew was that they weren't get his friends, not today

"Not on my watch". Xadia yelled, with his hands glowing green. "Let her go, the real problem is him". Quiver said, charging at Xadia.

Energy rushed to his hands, and a bubble of blue enveloped his fist, he then threw out a punch at his target. Xadia did a backflip and launched himself into a dome building, launching air attacks on Quiver while in the air.

Plants sprouted from the ground and were heading for Xadia who was still on the dome building. Seeing the attack, Xadia dodged a hit and landed on the tree of vines. He then began running on it heading straight down for the Emitter.

Halfway down a blue portal opened Infront of him, and a punch was delivered, knocking Xadia to the ground. Vines sprouted from the ground and lifted Rodney's body, it then began to wrap around him, binding his arms, legs, and hands.

The Emitter and Quiver moved towards Xadia. "What's wrong with you, why did you let them go". Quiver asked. A laser came from above but Quiver quickly dodged it.

"Hey, can you help me with the bird"? The metal siphon said, before shooting metal discs into the air.

Quiver opened a portal in front of the metal siphon, and he shot out a metal disc into it. He then bent the disc and wrapped it around Rodney's familiar, before pulling the captured green bird out of the portal.

"Now how do we deal with him, why would he turn on us". The metal siphon asked.

"This isn't Rodney, whatever happened when we left, they switched bodies. If it was really Rodney we won't be able to defeat him so easily". The Emitter explained.

"Oh, you think you've defeated me, I was just waiting for you all to be this close to me". A smile formed on Rodney's face.

A wave of air exploded out of Xadia's body, completely destroying the vines that wrapped around him. His eyes lit up green and he threw a punch at the group, there weren't fast enough to react, the punch connected with Quiver's face knocking him meters away.

The metal siphon quickly shot out five metal blades at Xadia. Opening his palm and waving his hands over each other a wave dispersed the blades, sending them flying into the dark of night.

Xadia rushed at the metal siphon, he then held him by his neck and launched into the air before slamming him to the ground.

The Emitter was done with the spell, and five energy bubbles rushed at Xadia. He lifted himself to the air and made a backflip while in the air, an air slice erupted dispersing all the energy orbs and also knocking the emitter away.

A portal opened by Xadia's side, and three jabs came for Rodney's head but he evaded it all, about to retaliate, Quiver withdraw into the portal and it closed. Another portal was then opened by the Emitters side.

"Get up, I need you to make an energy barrier around him, don't give space for him to fly".

"Etura sephira". An invisible wave of light was then enveloped into a barrier and Xadia could sense it.

He then placed his hand on the barrier it was made to completely trap him, giving him no space for escaping or fighting back.

A punch was delivered to Rodney's back, another punch met with his face and another to his stomach.

Quiver's plan was working, but suddenly Xadia had caught on to him, and sensing a distortion in the air around him, he caught Quiver's attack and he was holding onto his fist.

Xadia pushed into the portal, with his hand still holding onto Quiver's fist, he then twisted his body and threw him over, slamming him on the ground.

A fist met with the Emitter's face, knocking him out immediately. He knew he was done with them.

Rodney's body then began to vibrate, and he regained his consciousness.

"We're here". Ivy said she was now by Jake's side. She then placed her hand on the door and it immediately slid over.

"Ivy, I've been waiting for you". Jasmine twirled the chair and was soon facing her friend. "What happened… to you". She could see blood dripping from her friend's shoulder.

"Put them down". Ivy gestured.

Jake gently placed the two bodies on the floor, and Ivy began to draw a rune circle on the floor.

"Will this wake them up"? Jake asked.

"Yes, but this one's for Xadia, I can wake Tyson up right now, but I need to prepare for Xadia first". Ivy replied.

"What happened to them". Jasmine asked

"It's a long story, I'll explain when I'm done". Ivy assured.

"Umsi lavdo letor". Ivy siphoned a spell and the circle lit up blue, and so did her eyes.

"What.. happened". Tyson groaned.

"You were knocked out, Xadia switched bodies with the group leader, he freed us and he's keeping them busy as we speak". Jake explained

"He switched bodies, doesn't that mean the senior is in his body right now!". Tyson exclaimed.

"I don't think they switched bodies, more like Xadia took over his body, I don't know how he did it but I don't feel the essence of the group's leader in him, I just need to hurry". Just as she said this Xadia's body began to vibrate and he slowly opened his eyes.

"Ugh". Xadia groaned as he bent this back, he then looked at his hands.

"Xadia?". Tyson asked to confirm.

"Yes it's me, did you bring me back, how did you do it". Xadia asked Ivy.

"I didn't do anything, I was halfway through finishing the rune circle when you started to vibrate, I don't know why you suddenly switched back".

"I just finished defeating them".

"You beat them?". Tyson raised his brows up.

"Yes their leader is pretty strong, he has a familiar. Laser and air powers are his passive skill".

"Can you please explain what's happening here, and how do you know Jake"? Jasmine asked. Ivy then went over their encounter with the group.

"It seems like they know both of you, and you both know each other". Ivy asked.

"They tried the process with us yesterday, I don't know how but I'm resistant to the liquid and the spell, Xadia was captured too, but we escaped when they injected the liquid in me, it gave me a rush of energy after I was already beaten. While Xadia and I met in the martial class, we had a duel, that's how we know each other, and Jasmine's my class president". Jake explained.

"Guys, I don't mean to disturb your explanation, but a spell book is vibrating on the table". Tyson slowly moved his hand to take the spell book.

"Don't touch that!". Ivy yelled, she then rushed to the table and touched the spell book, her hand was bloody.

And as soon she did the book lit up red, and the glowing crystal that illuminated the room faded to dark. The book began to hover slowly, and the book then slowly opened.

The pages of the book frenetically opened, and the dripping blood from Ivy's hands and shoulder began to float in the air. It then began to circle around the hovering book, her blood glowed red and it began to form the runes on the book.

The red blood runes slowly began to blue, and a whisper was heard in the room. "Lema sultra infanales septra".

Ivy, Xadia, Tyson, Jake, and Jasmine then began to lift from the floor. "Ivy, what's happening!!". Jasmine asked in frantic.

"I don't know". She replied.

"This doesn't feel good!!". Jake yelled.

"Hold hands". Xadia warned.

A black portal soon opened from the book, and as soon as it did, like a vacuum of space, they were sucked into the dark abyss of the portal.
