Chapter 29

"I'm just here to take Crystal to school." Hange says, "You don't mind right?"

"Uh..." Levi looks at Hange at the door, "Why?"

"Oh well, uh..."

"Hange asked for me to help out with one of her experiments." Crystal says as she walks up to them, Levi looks at her and his eyes widen a little. Instead of wearing her tights, she now wore a pair of white pants, her school blazer on top. Her hair now flowing down, instead of being up in a ponytail.

"That... makes sense." Levi nods, "I'll see you at school then..."

"See ya, Levi." Crystal walks past him to Hange, who leads Crystal to her car.

"How was your first day in this world?" Hange asks as they get into the car.

"I tried something called Pizza. I'll have to figure out how to make it myself to bring back to Connie and Armin. They'll love it."

"What about Sasha?"

"Sasha was shot by a Marleyan Warrior. It was a kid." Crystal says simply, "I don't know how I'll react to seeing her alive again."

"Oh and a heads up, a guy named Mike was pretty upset that you weren't at school when you had that seizure."

"Who does he think he is? This world's Crystal had a serious medical emergency." Crystal says harshly, "Not like they were dating, right?"

"No, but he sure was upset." Hange shrugs, "Anyways, I must walk you through her day to day life. First period is Language Arts, this basically is teaching grammar and sentence structure, Second period is Digital Art, you'll probably be completely lost so I'd ask the teacher to let you rest your head."

"Alright."

"Music Modern is your third period, you will probably have to sing a song on the spot for the class assignment. It's Friday, that's typically when you had to turn in a song."

"Alright, do you know what kind of song?"

"I don't."

"Right, I'll ask Levi."

"Don't be too weird about it, ask him what he wrote his on."

"Okay."

"Then Lunch period, follow Levi outside. Your fourth period is History, then Ancient Literature, Life Lab with me, and then Computer Science."

"Got it." Crystal nods, "I just wish I could be honest. It feels wrong to keep pretending I'm someone I'm not. I mean, I did that for a year in Marley, but that was under strict orders from Commander Hange."

"You were quite the soldier it sounds." Hange parks the car outside the school, "Did you guys have a salute?"

"Yeah."

"Show me outside the car?" Hange grins, and Crystal nods before they get out. Walking up to in front of the car, Crystal felt herself thinking about that day she joined the Scouts, taking a deep breath in, she slams her fist over her heart and salutes, "Whoa! The posture is so good!"

"This body feels like mine." Crystal says, "It's like it's muscles haven't been used properly, but it feels as though nothing is off."

"Interesting! You're a soldier so I would figure your strength was unmatched by this body." Hange says as they start to walk in, and Crystal puts her hand up to Hange as if to silence her.

A tall blonde man started to walk towards them, anger reeling off of him in waves, "Why weren't you here?!"

"I'm sorry?" Crystal asks, a confused look on her face, "I had a literal seizure. I went to the hospital and was hospitalized for 3 days."

"You said we would have lunch together Monday!" The man shouts, now pissing Crystal off.

"Who do you think you are talking to me like that? If I offered to have lunch with you, then it should be a privilege, not a waste of my time." Crystal says harshly, making Hange tense up a little.

"How dare you speak to me like that? You're the one who accepted my offer for Lunch! Not the other way around! You should keep your word!"

"Why are you so obsessed?" A sigh of exasperation comes from Crystal, "I don't even know who you are."

"What?! We were old friends! Stop pretending like I'm some stranger!"

"I don't know who you are. Lying that you're an old friend? It's clear that your upset with me, you're losing your mind because I said that I didn't know you."

"How dare you!" Mike goes to grab her, and Crystal swiftly ducks, going up she puts one arm around his neck and reaches around him with her other to join her hands, kicking his leg out from under him, she slams him down to the ground behind her.

"Try and touch me again. I'll break every single one of your fingers." Crystal says, venom dripping from her words.

"What's going on?!" A familiar voice shouts, and Crystal turns to look to see Pixus. Another person she hadn't seen for a very long time.

"Sorry, Pixus." Crystal turns to him, "This scum tried to lay his hands on me. I'm just a fragile damsel in distress, what else am I to do? Let him hurt me?"

"Mr. Linter! To my Office, now!" Pixus shouts at the boy who just managed to get himself upright, "I'm sorry about that, Crystal. It's been a rough year, please take care of yourself."

"Yes sir!" Crystal salutes to him, and he stares at her in confusion before walking away, Crystal panicked. Dropping the salute she looks at Hange, "Sorry about that. He needed to be put in his place."

"N-No you're fine. That was a really cool move you used!"

"I learned it from Eren." Crystal says simply, "Oh, is he a normal guy in this world?"

"A normal guy?"

"Yeah, he kind of turned into a jackass in the other world."

"Oh well, Eren is kind of crazy at times, but he isn't a jackass."

"Cool." Crystal nods before she continues walking, "This place is impressive."

"It really is." Hange says as she stares at Crystal, who notices.

"Something wrong?"

"It's weird, but when I look at you, I could almost imagine my Crystal being like you if she hadn't had her accident. If her family was still alive."

"I'm sure if she's anything like me as it is, she'll be just like me once she's older." Crystal opens the door to her language arts class, staring at all the faces in the room as Hange walks on her own way. Her eyes lock onto Sasha who was eating something that looked crispy and flat.

"Good morning Crystal!" Sasha says happily, "Want some?" Sasha puts the bag towards Crystal who looks curiously. Taking one out, she bites into it.

"Oh yummy! What are these called?"

"Their Salt and Vinegar chips. My latest food obsession."

"I see..." Crystal nods before she walks up, her eyes locking on to Erwin who gestures to the seat beside himself.

"Hey. You adjusting well?" He asks.

"Yes Sir. I'm doing well. It's a very interesting world though." Crystal says as she sits down, "Its still strange to see you in the flesh."

"I'm sure I'm nowhere as great as your Erwin."

"I'm sure you will be though." Crystal nods to herself, before her eyes spot Levi's black hair. She stares as he walks up the side of the room to where she was sitting.

"You should keep the staring to a minimum." Erwin whispers and Crystal darts her eyes back to the front of the room. It reminded her of training.

"I heard you got into a fight." Levi says as he sits down next to her.

"Oh, no not really. Just defended myself from an aggressor."

"I didn't know you knew how to do that kind of thing." Levi says, "I feel like it would've been useful against Kenny."

"Kenny?" Crystal asks, and then she gulps as Levi gives her a glare.

"Now I know something is up, what's wrong with you-?"

"Now hush down! Time for class to start." The teacher shouts and Crystal darts her eyes back down to her hands.

"Shit! He's so onto me! I knew it wouldn't be long until Levi knew something was up with her! I'm screwed!"

"We'll talk during Music Modern." Levi says darkly in a whisper.
