"Damn, just where the hell did you go?"

"Don't you know that I suffered these past days without you?"

"It's so boring you know? Charlene kept me company sometimes but it's not that she will accompany me always. Jeez."

Bren and Jay came to school very early so they went for some coffee in the school cafeteria. Jay doesn't know whether to laugh or cry while listening to Bren's exaggerated stories.

"Hey, are you listening? Hey." Bren felt that Jay isn't paying attention to him.

"Oh. Yeah, I'm listening. So you probably had it hard right. Did you miss me that much?" Jay joked.

"Jeez, don't tease me like that."

They finished their coffees and went to their classroom since they had still some time left.

"Here, your notebook. Better read the notes since we will probably have a quiz today." Bren handed something. It was Jay's notebook.

Jay opened it and saw that Bren had made some outlines for their lessons by noting down some lessons in his notebook. Bren surely did it while Jay was absent. Seeing this, Jay can't help but feel grateful for being friend with Bren.

"Thanks bro. I owe you one meal today."

"Oh, really? And you just called me bro?" Bren was surprised Jay called him bro. But he was more surprised when he saw Jay smile handsomely under his jacket's hood. The smile was so handsome that Bren felt like dreaming, but it was only for a moment, about a couple of seconds.

"Hey Jay, damn. Can you smile again?"

But his words were pointless as the bell rang and Jay first went out for the morning ceremony. Bren had no choice but to wait for the next time he will see Jay smile again like today. He don't understand why Jay rarely smiles.

"Jeez, he should always smile like that. His smile enchanted me, and I'm even a guy. How much more if a girl saw it?"

Cafeteria.

"Man, you sure also love eating sweet stuffs right?"

Bren and Jay had just finished their lunch meal and Jay went ahead to pay for their foods. Both of them had eaten many foods that were to lazy to even stand.

"Let's go Bren."

Jay and Bren were about to exit the cafeteria when Jay bumped into Crystal. The impact caused Crystal to lose balance, added to her petite body, she was about to drop down when a strong arm held her thin and small waist, preventing her from her fall.

But sadly, the situation is not similar to some romantic movies where the girl and boy made eye contact with some sexual tension between them and they eventually kissed.

Because after Jay saved Crystal from her fall, they only had eye contact and Jay released her.

"Th-thank you." Crystal was shocked, but she didn't forget to thank Jay, although she was surprised that she will meet Jay today.

"Oh, uhm, yeah. Be careful next time." Jay also didn't know what to say so he just blurted out what came to his mind.

Right now, his right hand, which he used to hold Crystal, is trembling and sweating.

'What is this? Did I just really held and touched her like that?' Jay thought.

He felt bad for holding her like that. It felt like his dirty hands had just stained the maiden body of the girl.

'No. Why should I feel bad? I had done it to save her. Yes, that's it. There's nothing wrong with it.'

Comforting himself with some thoughts, Jay managed to calm down.

"Oh right, don't forget to come to the club room when classes are over. We will be having a meeting today."

"Okay, got it."

Crystal bowed and hurriedly entered the cafeteria with cheeks burning in embarrassment. Her best friends who are following her greeted both Jay and Bren before following Crystal inside.

Of course, some students saw what happened. But for them, it was like an entertainment show.

Jay then walks in a normal pace towards their room while Bren is following behind him.

"You sure is lucky today bro."

Bren's words entered his ears.

"What do you mean lucky?"

Bren then cleared his throat, as if he was to tell a very important lesson to Jay.

"You know Jay, what just happened right now is a part of your destiny."

Jay felt like smacking his friend's mouth. He just can't understand what he is saying.

"You know that time when she hugged you?"

Of course Jay can't forget that time, that feeling and most importantly, the girl.

"And also, think of some other strange encounters with her, and also today. Don't you think something is about to develop soon?"

" What do you mean?" Jay can't believe that he is listening to some nonsense.

"I don't know, but I feel like you two are about to become lovers in the near future." Bren out in a mysterious air while closing his eyes and raising his chin, while being confident on his prophecy.

Jay can't believe he listened to Bren until the end. He had the urge to punch some sense to his friend. Become Crystal's lover? Close to impossible. In the near future? Never.

Jay even vowed to himself that if something like that will really happen, then he will do Bren a great favor for his hundred percent accurate prediction.
