Finding Out The Truth
A month later at the Su Kingdom
Tian Qi headed to see the concubine Lue Yu, but as he was about to knock on the door he heard the voice of his mother and concubine Lue Yu talking
"Aunty, that woman has finally left the Su Kingdom." Lue Yu said full of content
"Now all that's left is for you to become pregnant and become the crown princess." his mother said
"But Aunty what if Brother Qi figures out that I was never pregnant?" Lue Yu asked his mother and the despair that he felt before worsened.
"The royal physician that had a hand in this was chased out of the palace, don't worry I paid him a handsome fee. He won't turn against us." His mother said to her and he burst the doors opened
"Tian Qi!" his mother called out to him in shock, he glared at his mother and his concubine
"You had a hand in this, Mother?" Tian Qi asked his mother
"It was for your own good." his mother insisted to him as she walked towards him, but he smacked her hand away from him
"You had her faked a pregnancy, blamed the miscarriage on my wife and it was for my good, you say." Tian Qi said to her
"Yes. It was all for your good." his mother said
"Then was the loss of my real child a part of your scheme?" Tian Qi asked her and his mother turned pale
"Wh-What?" His mother asked him and he chuckled
"That's right, mother. With your scheme, I lost my child when I punished Bai Qing. Now tell me, mother, was that also for my good?!" Tian Qi asked his mother at this point the concubine could no longer say anything because she had a hand in her punishment.
"I didn't know. If I knew-" his mother said
"If you knew then what?" Tian Qi asked and finally, he turned his attention to his concubine
"And you, was the harassment that you told me about her true? Or did you make that up?" Tian Qi asked her but she could only shake and cower
"So it's true...I was a fool to believe you and mother. Now I lost both my wife and child, I hope that you are happy with the result, Mother?" Tian Qi said and walked out of the concubine's palace.
He fell into depression after that and he began to drink heavily. Not attending any of his royal court meetings, the royal eunuch came to him but refused to listen to him and anyone else, until news came that Princess Bai Qing was dead.
"THAT'S NOT TRUE!" Tian Qi refused to believe it but it stayed on his mind after a day he made up his mind.
"I'll go see, I need to see it with my own eyes." Tian Qi said and hurriedly ordered a party to go to the Min Kingdom
A month before that in the Min Kingdom
"I will go to the temple of Nuwa." Bai Qing said to her family at breakfast, they all dropped their chopsticks and stared at her, she was never one to sit still but now she wanted to go to the temple.
"A'Ru, you should check to see if she is alright." Bai Ling said to him and he chuckled as he turned his attention back to Bai Qing.
"A'Ling, there is nothing that I can do. Her health is good, it was her heart that needed healing." Ming Ru said to her sister
"I'm serious, I'm going to go to the temple." Bai Qing said to them and they stopped joking
"You could never sit still whenever we visited the temple." Bai Ling said to her and she nodded
"But I'm not going to visit the temple." Bai Qing said and it made them even more concern
"Then what for?" Bai Ling asked her worried and she smiled weakly at her sister
"To become a nun at the Nuwa temple and pray for my child." Bai Qing said to them and none of them could say anything since they never heard of there being a child
"Your-your child?" Bai Ning asked her and she nodded
"Yes. I lost my child in the Su kingdom, I'm going to dedicate my life to my child. I'll give my child to the goddess Nuwa for protection." Bai Qing said to them but they could only look at each other and towards Ming Ru since he never mentioned anything to them about her child before
"I thought that she should tell you about her child, herself." Ming Ru said to them, that he knew that the child was saved but he didn't know how she wanted to go about this, he left the choice up to her.
"That is fine. If it's for your child, but can't you just visit? Why must you have to become a nun?" Bai Ling asked her and she smiles
"I'm done with the outside world and the mortal needs, I want to live in peace." Bai Qing said to them, got up from the table, and left.
After they all had breakfast, Bai Ling called for Ming Ru.
"Tell me about her real condition." Bai Ling said to Ming Ru and he sighs
"I knew that you would come to me after everything that your sister said." Ming Ru said to her and she smiled
"I know my sister better than anyone if she lost her child she wouldn't calmly tell us that she would go pray for her child in the temple, she would've raised hell and gone to war with that kingdom." Bai Ning said to him and he laughed
"That does sound like her." Ming Ru said to her and she smiled
"Because that's the truth, now tell me, what happened." Bai Ling said to him and he sighed
"I made it in time, I was able to save her and the child but the child was really weak and if she wants to go to the temple, I would say that it is a good thing. She needs to rest and have some peace." Ming Ru said to her and she nodded
"That's fine but I do not want her to become a nun." Bai Ling said to him and he smiled
"Getting in the way of a person becoming a follower will only bring you karma." Ming Ru said to her and she chuckled
"But before she goes, I want to give her a farewell party." Bai Ling said to him and he chuckled
"Don't overdo it." Ming Ru said to her, the two of them talked for a while before the crown prince came to find his wife
"Ming Ru." Crown Prince Zhiyu said to him and he nodded
"What are the two of you up to?" Zhiyu asked them as he sat down beside his wife and she smiled at him
"About my sister, what brought you out here?" Bai Ling asked him and he smiled at her
"To see what you two are planning." Zhiyu said to the two of them
"Ask your wife, I shall leave you two to talk." Ming Ru said to him
"My dear friend, your wife is up to no good I tell you." Ming Ru said to prince Zhiyu before he walked away
