One of the cloaked figures squatted right in front of her, just out the reach of her writhing arms.
"Drop your loot," they said.
He could tell from their voice that it was a woman, and despite watching her colleague being eaten alive, she didn't seem to have a shred of sympathy.
"Lena, please," the woman on the floor cried out, however 'Lena' did not hear her pleas.
"The worms will target anything that touches you. And I ain't risking my life for an idiot who couldn't even follow commands," she snapped back.
"Now drop the loot... or your sister joins you before the end of the day," she continued.
The woman on the floor slowly reached for her pockets, her hands trembling in pain as she did so. Tears streamed down her face as she tried to keep herself from screaming. Slowly, she removed a handful of blue gems, before shakily dropping them in front of her.
"Get em," Lena ordered.
