Chapter 38: Mr. Jealousy
Making the impulsive decision to choose revenge, I introduced myself to Cole with an extra flirtatious tone.
“So, Skyler, are you here alone tonight?” Cole questioned, obviously trying to get a sense of if I was single or not.
“I’m here with some friends,” I answered gesturing into the crowd, my eyes falling on Angie and Nick who were only a few feet away.
Both of my friends gazed back with raised eyebrows at Cole and me at the bar. I hadn’t entertained any potential suitors since joining the group, so I understood why there would be some confusion on their part.
As Cole began talking about something I wasn’t paying attention to, my eyes searched the crowd for Kade. Spotting him on the far side of the dance floor with Chris, I put my plan in motion.
“Do you want to dance?” I abruptly asked Cole, rising to my feet.
