Chapter 35 - Life in the Senju Clan

After receiving the box Aunt Mito opened it and saw the scroll inside, she unfurled it and as she looked over it, a surprised expression appeared on her face.

She said

"The complexity of this seal is astonishing, like nothing I've ever seen before. It might really be a seal of the hypothesised sixth-level ove seals. It will take me a while to decipher it and analyse its functions."

Sen thought for a moment and took out the seal he copied from the room in the cave and gave it to her too and said

"Maybe this will help, it has a seal made by the same person and is an apex Grandmaster level one and can increase the gravity of the area it is portrayed on."

"Really!? Show me." said Mito showing her interest in the seal.

After finally having her stray from the topic of 'my forgetful memory', I handed her the scrolls on which I copied the seal.

"Do you know who made these seals?" she asked as she observed the seals trying to decipher them.

"It was someone named Hamura."

I told her the story of how I found the seal in a room in a cave, how I deciphered it and how there was a hidden message in the seal which gave me the box containing the higher level seal as a reward for deciphering the message.

"You did a good job, looks like your accomplishment in sealing techniques has reached the Master level."

Third Person POV

After hearing Sen's story Mito complimented him on his achievement.

"Yes, Aunt Mito and my chakra control has reached the mid-advanced stage of Master level but I am not able to practice Grandmaster-level seals due to lack of chakra."

told Sen as he fretted over his current situation trying to find a solution but his worry soon turned unfounded

"I see, that is not a problem that can't be solved." said Mito.

"You have a solution, Aunt Mito?"

Sen asked surprised and excited by Mito's words.

"Yes, the Uzumaki Clan already had seals for chakra storage like the Yin seal and after Tsunade started learning about medical ninjutsu she came up with the theory that our body wastes a large amount of chakra unnecsecerrily and she showed me her plan to modify the Yin seal to create a new Jutsu."

"We can slightly modify it so that you can access a greater amount of chakra for a short time using the chakra that you stored, it can enhance your ninjutsu and the chakra you can use for sealing techniques making you able to practice Grandmaster level seals before it runs out of stored chakra."

said Mito as she described the solution to Sen's current problem.

"Did she complete it?"

asked Sen excitedly.

"No, sadly she didn't,-" she said as she watched Sen's face turn disappointed but continued with a slight chuckle after the pause

"-but I already modified my Yin seal based on her theory and it really works, though I estimate it will take her a few years more to succeed as her mastery of sealing arts isn't up to par yet."

As Sen regained the lost smile on his face he couldn't help but ask

"Then why didn't you tell her the complete technique?"

"Why should I?" spoke Mito.

"So that she does not have to waste years of time!" said Sen stating the obvious.

"Well, she was very reluctant to learn sealing techniques when I told her but now for her to succeed in making her Jutsu she is actively trying to master them, so why should I stop her and it is her fault she didn't ask for help and just came to me to brag like her Grandfather." said Mito in an annoyed voice.

"You are just annoyed that she didn't ask for your help, aren't you?"

She flinched very slightly at his words, making Sen realize his words hit the mark.

"Looks like you are still a very energetic boy, want me to train you?"

said Mito as her sharp eyes turned to him, her face still had a smile but her hair was floating up without any wind and Sen could even see an illusion of a demonic face behind her.

"No need, it's getting late today, can you please show me a room to rest and live in."

said Sen as his instinct for survival kicked in.

"Come with me." she said as she turned her face, got up and led me through the hallway as we were walking she motioned me to stay quiet with a gesture of her finger and I immediately silenced my footsteps.

After walking up the stairs she opened a room and entered inside and when I followed her in she closed the door behind us.

As soon as I went in she put her hand on the ground and made a sealing technique that covered the whole room, I looked and realized it was an advanced version of a silencing seal.

After she was done I asked

"What does this seal do?"

"It's a seal that is activated when you close the door, it prevents any sound from going outside but allows the sounds from outside to come in uninterrupted."

Mito explained the purpose of the seal.

"Cool, What level of seal is it?" asked Sen rubbing his hands

"Grandmaster-level," said Mito with a smile.

"Sigh~"

Her words caused Sen to sigh in disappointment.

"Don't worry while you will live here, I will train you into a Grandmaster-level sealing master." (Mito)

"Oh, and the second door in the hallway on the ground floor is the room that belongs to Kushina, if you do not plan to expose yourself during your stay here be sure to not wander near there."(Mito)

"So, this is my room?" asked Sen as he looked around the room.

"Yes, it used to be Tobirama's when he stayed here but it's empty now."

she said as she opened a cupboard showing a blue-colored Senju clan armor hung inside.

"I see, by the way, Aunt Mito, if Kushina lives here when will you train me?"

Sen asked trying to divert the topic.

"During the time she is in the Ninja Academy." (Mito)

"Right, the Academy made by Second Hokage." said Sen his voice carrying a weird undertone.

"Yes." Mito noticed it but decided to ask some other time.

"Then I will unpack now."

Said Sen as he put down his box and cut off that topic.

"Before that, here, take this."

Said Mito as she took off a green crystal necklace from her neck and handed it to me.

"What is this?" Sen asked curiously as he looked at the Necklace.

"This is something Hashirama left behind for his Godson before his death, though I don't know what it does, it contains a great amount of energy." (Mito)

"Thank you, Godmother."

Sen thanked her and kept the necklace with him deciding to inspect it later.

"Oh, and it has another feature it can resonate with the other one if they are close so if starts glowing it means the other necklace is in the vicinity."(Mito)

"I will remember that."(Sen)

"That is all, we will talk tomorrow as I have to go to Kushina now, rest well." said Mito as she walked towards the door.

"You too, Godmother."

Sen said as she was leaving the room and so his days of living in the Senju Clan started.
