Chapter 3

Akumu labyrinth is a massive underground natural structure that connects three continents. It was created by natural movement of tectonic movement and volcanic eruption even before humans exist. The place was so rich with mana and vitality that the creatures their evolved into mighty monsters.But the land mass didn't only stayed underground. Due to the tectonic movements it nor only created a massive hollow structure inside which accommodated countless terrifying creatures but it created the massive mountain range of Tenryou which contains the highest peak in this world and most vicious of the sky dragons. Atleast that's what the inteligent creatures belived. The sea in this world is full of sea kings and water dragons. So till hundred years ago, the communication between three habitable continent was impossible. Magicus was filled with large forests, Magicaliya has a lot of fertile ground for agriculture and finally Demonoid has a impressive amount of fertile land along with mountains full of valuable minerals. But even the intelligent and powerful inhabitants of these continents didn't dare to approach the great Akumu labyrinth. Because, two of the three legendary class monsters are inhabiting the place.

Earth dragon Chikyu and the poison dragon Hidora. The last, frost dragon Hyoketsu has not been sighted since two centuries ago. Legendary monsters are the strongest of the creatures in this world. And unknown to everyone, there is a human that was being reincarnated in such a monster that has potential to go far beyond legendary class.

In the second layer of the entrance of the great Akumu labyrinth, there was a large egg lying in a corner. It was layed in such a way that, either it will be devoured sooner rather than latter or it won't even hatch because of the absence of enough heat. But suddenly the egg started to shake violently until it turned from dark brown to pitch black in colour. After sometime, when it stopped shaking, the egg cracked. And the thing inside it started to struggle. If the egg has hatched in natural ways, a brown earth lizard would have born. But a pitch black dragon with light blue horns and golden eyes came out. The quantity of mana it posessed is way higher than a baby lizard should have. The baby lizard was actually a hatchling of a earth dragon. It was merely in it's infant stage. The baby dragon looked around itself worriedly.

Once Arnuria regained her consciousness, she found darkness. But she felt like she was being restrained in a small space. She tried to get out. She could feel the cracks on the cell. After some efforts, she came outside successfully. It didn't took her long to adjust into darkness as she can clearly see through the dark cave. She didn't know what she was transferring her soul into ? So first thing she did was assessing her body.

' Now then, I have four legs, claws, black scales and a tail with what it seems like little spikes. If only I could see my face, then I could have been assured that I reborn into a baby dragon or a lizard. The main difference between a dragon baby and a lizard is the horns on the head of the dragon. Lizards possess no such characteristics. '

Then she tried to check on her magic. She could feel that her mana reserves is nearly same as before. A little less. Then She tried to feel her mana in order to use magic. The process took longer than expected. She was in a newly hatched baby body. So it took her a while to manage normal magic, not to mention elementary one. Next she tried conjuring which was easier than elementary magic. Then she tried to conjure silver. It didn't took her long to made a water mirror with water element and silver. Then she finally found that she was a baby dragon.

Suddenly she felt pain. The pain was coming from her stomach. She was hungry. But there was no food their to eat. Suddenly her nose picked up. It was a pleasant smell. She looked towards the broken egg shell and some slimy liquid.

Her stomach growled again.

' Ahhh ! screw it !'

She followed her instinct and ate it. Even after eating it, her stomach was still not full. So she looked around. Definitely there is no way of going back. So her only option is to get inside the dungeon. With the help of her claws, she climbed down from the high platform of rocks to the ground of the cave. She didn't know where to go. But she followed her instincts and went forward.

The cave was full of different kinds of minerals. Some of them were valuable but others are not. The density of mana is higher than outside. She can feel it in the air. But while she was advancing in the cave, she didn't notice a hunter. It was a yellow giant spider or commonly known as lesser giant spider. It didn't have a potent poison. But it's size made up of it's weakness. It was her instincts that saved her from the sneak attack. The baby dragon looked horrified at the six feet high spider. There wasn't much room there. So she wondered how it got there. But quickly the dragon had to dodge. The moment after, the spider stomped at the place she was standing. It shook the tunnel as there were some loose rock deposits present there. The two feet high baby dragon quickly decided to fire some wind magic at the spider. But to her surprise, the spider was able to dodge a fatal blow.

' How the hell it dodged my attack in such a cozy area !'

But the spider was not unharmed. It's three appendages were missing. It shricked in pain. But without waiting, the dragon fired another darkness magic. This time it wasn't able to dodge. That resulted in it's death. But due to the fight the rocks collapsed. The dragon barely able to dodge the falling projectiles.

'It was the scariest thing till now ! Atleast I got some food !'
