Chapter 11: Leveling Up Skill and Talents

Nice! I got 55 new attribute points from leveling up to level 10! 

Now where should I invest them!? Heck! I don't even know how strong my body is now to add even more attribute points!

Let's save it for now! Never know when I'll need them….

Looking at the 11 Skill and Talent points…I know what to do with them.

Opening his Skill window.

Skills :

[Eyes Of The Paragon (Level 1)]: You can summon the @#$&# rune into your eyes to see the ultimate Truth. By summoning the @#$&# rune into your eyes you can cast an inescapable Nightmare illusion onto your enemies that cannot be avoided.

[Kasimo's Flames (Level 1)]: You can summon Kasimo's flame for a set duration. WARNING! Kasimo's flames are extremely chaotic and can have unexpected effects.

[Kasimo's Mark (Level 1)]: You can mark up to 3 objects/beings with Kasimo's Mark which will directly mark the target's soul in the case of living beings. The mark can be tracked irrespective of the distance.

If Kasimo's Mark is attached to a living being, it will constantly release a fixed amount of Nargy into their soul, slowly corrupting the soul of the target, and ultimately turning them into Kasimo's soul puppet.

If Kasimo's Mark is attached to an object, it will constantly release a fixed amount of Nargy into the object, slowly corrupting it, and ultimately turning it into a bizarre Object.

Looking at all of his Skills he directly starts leveling up Kasimo's flames without any hesitation.

[Skill Kasimo's Flames has been leveled up to level 4! ]

[Skill Kasimo's Flames has been leveled up to level 5! ]

[Skill Kasimo's Flames has been leveled up to level 6! ]

After leveling up his skills he quickly checks out his skill with a wide grin.

[Kasimo's Flames (Level 6)]: You can summon Kasimo's flame for a set duration. WARNING! Kasimo's flames are extremely chaotic and can have unexpected effects.

Now to the Talent

He then opened up his talent window, displaying his 2 talents.

Talents:

[Nightmare Body (Level 1)]: A body Forged by the will of Nightmare Realm, you have the highest affinity to Nargy and the Nightmare Realm—your body courses with a highly concentrated amount of Nargy and will regenerate Nargy every 0.001 seconds. Your body has 75% resistance to Nargy-related damage and 25% resistance to all kinds of damage (physical/elemental/soul/mind)

[Shroud Of Nightmares (Level 1)]: In the liberated state your wings will generate a shroud of Nightmare Aura around you, which will boost your Nargy regeneration rate up to 3 times. Anyone who comes within the range of the Shroud of Nightmare will be instantly trapped inside a nightmare.

Looking at both of his talents, Hmm….both of them provide me with plenty of Nargy which I need the most…

He then proceeded to level up both skills, with more emphasis on the first one.

As soon as the Level-ups are completed, Aron instantly feels his Body becoming more powerful and energetic than before.

He quickly checks his status panel.

 Looking at his boosted attribute points he grinned happily. "Growl!" Then all of a sudden he felt his stomach starting to growl, and a strong feeling of hunger started taking over his senses…FOOD!! I NEED FOOD!

The white sclera of his eyes slowly started to turn darker and the small wings on his back with little purple feathers started to grow larger and crystalline.

Grasp…Huff…hufff

Taking in deep breaths he tried his best to control the sudden burst of maddening hunger….After a while of intense struggle to keep his sanity intact, his breathing slowly turned normal and his appearance also reverted back to its normal state.

 Damn! That was close, What the hell was that? I felt like I would lose control any second…Is this some sort of side effect of leveling up?

Or is it because I leveled by a large margin for my body to cope?

Whatever it is, I need to be careful from now on while leveling up…

The hunger is still there, I need to eat something quickly or else I might once again have to face it…

He soon starts looking for a pray to hunt, to fill his angrily growling belly. He then starts walking deeper into the forest looking for a prey and a safe place to rest.

Walking for a while he noticed the sun in the sky was starting to slowly set…so he hurried to get things done before nightfall.

As he continued to walk through the forest cautiously, he suddenly came across a giant red salamander the size of a bus lying on the ground at a distance of more than 20 meters from him, with a fire burning from its head to tail in a strange pattern like a blazing haircut, each of its scale as big as tire and its large pitch black eyes staring fixedly at him.

Soon it started running like a giant lizard or a crocodile maybe? Towards Aron who just stared at it calmly with cold hungry eyes…as soon as the Salamander neared him, suddenly a Havoc-Lykor appeared right between them and started growling at the giant salamander while charging its Havoc beam.

The salamander meanwhile stops in his tracks and looks at the Havoc-Lykor with surprise and caution and slowly steps back while roaring in a low guttural tone as if trying to scar the Lykor away, but as soon as the Havoc-Lykor finishes charging its havoc beam, it crouches down and fires a concentrated beam of Havoc energy at the salamander.

The salamander meanwhile tried to dodge it but got hit on its stomach, the concentrated havoc beam left a large gaping hole in its stomach, disintegrating the area around its stomach including the ground below the salamander, and leaving the giant salamander with a large disintegrating hole in the middle of its body, slowly separating its body into two parts.

Helplessly the giant salamander breathed its last breath while staring at the Havoc-Lykor with resentful eyes…

Aron meanwhile slowly approached the corpse of the salamander, This will do I guess…

Squatting down over the giant body of the salamander Aron starts pulling off its scales, looking at the scales 

They are pretty tough..like steel, this could be useful.

After descaling the entire body of the salamander, he starts butchering it with his bare hands, ripping off its juicy-looking parts like the tail, limbs, and chest area. He just rips apart all the meat and leaves aside the innards. Looking at the mountain of meat, he sigs…How do I even carry this much meat!?

Thinking about it, suddenly he remembers something his eyes brighten up…

Come to think of it, in RPG games, all players are provided with an inventory to store all sorts of things…does the system also have an inventory!?

He then quickly opened up the status window to check if it had an inventory...

On the status window on the right side, he found 2 sections with a lock symbol on them, he clicked on the top section.

[Would you like to unlock the system Shop For 100 Naruka gems?]

[Yes/No]

Ahh..so this is where the Naruka gems are used! I was wondering where it could be used…

Clicking on Yes, the lock symbol gets replaced by a SHOP symbol.

Well…there is a shop now, I guess I will check it out after I deal with my meat…

After unlocking the shop he clicked on the section below it.

[Yes/No]

Yes, after clicking yes, the similar lock symbol on it gets replaced by a bag symbol. Clicking on the symbol, a new system window opens in front of him.
