Chloe 2

The expression on Chloe's face instantly changed. Different emotions colored her beautiful face: happiness, doubt, anger, and hope.

Adam wasn't lying. Albert did have such a writing stone, and his book concept had several life jackets pre-recorded.

The stone on which the recording was specifically placed was in Adam's room. In the story, young Adam was recording his day when he suddenly saw Albert with unknown people. Being a curious child, he followed him and saw his father talking about something with the horned men.

The content of the conversation was simple and can be described in one word: the slave trade and power grab.

Adam was glowing with happiness when his concept was used, so he left this stone as a means to destroy his family. Who would have thought it would work?

He pulled out the stone and no sooner had Adam opened his mouth than he felt lightness in his hand. He saw that Chloe was holding the stone and had already activated it. A hologram appeared above the stone, and Albert's face was visible there; he could hear the content of the conversation, and so on.

With each second, the expression on Chloe's face changed from cold to happy. Adam was fascinated by her smile and eventually froze.

Seeing Adam's gaze, Chloe regained her composure and then fell silent. Adam could not understand her thoughts, and he could only wait.

"Okay, now I trust you a little." She nodded and then waved her hand.

There was a hesitation, and Adam saw a parchment on which were written such words as "non-aggression," "keeping a secret," and the like. In short, it was an agreement in which Adam and Chloe became allies.

It was the most common Oath of Souls spell that couldn't be broken. Adam directed his magical energy toward the parchment, and it glowed.

Chloe didn't need to channel her energy because the parchment was called by her.

"I hope our cooperation will be fruitful," Adam said so and smiled.

[Task "#1: Conquer an ally" is completed].

Chloe looked at him blankly and then asked him to follow her. In a couple of minutes, Adam found himself in a neatly furnished room, from which he smelled a pleasant cherry scent.

"Have a seat."

Chloe moved a chair, and Adam sat down.

"You and I don't know each other, Adric." Chloe smiled charmingly. "Though I've seen you grow up, I haven't had much interest in you. Who would have thought you and I would be allies now?"

"Indeed. I never thought I'd ever be in this situation." Adam sighed.

"You should have expected that, after all, you have no talent." Said Chloe, and then smiled. "That's what I thought until you were able to fend off my attack."

Adam didn't answer and just smiled mysteriously. Though he did not know why he had been able to survive, he was certainly sure that he was dead then. But he was too lazy to look into it, and Adam's eyes darkened slightly.

Chloe slowly stood up and walked over to the nightstand, then leaned over. Adam tactfully averted his gaze, though he looked for a few seconds before doing so. There was a rustling sound, and Chloe finally pulled out some objects.

"Catch."

Adam panicked and deftly caught the round object. It was a black sphere with smoke coming from it. Adam concentrated and was able to feel the vibrations of the dark magic!

"The Sphere of Spells..."

Sphere of spells In it, the mage can place a spell that can be activated without wasting magical energy, even for a mortal. In addition, in this sphere, there was a spell called "Cloak of Darkness", which can help Adam become invisible for 5 minutes.

"If there's going to be any danger, at least this will help you somehow." Chloe sat down on the bed and sensuously crossed her legs, which were clenched in white garter stockings. "Speaking of which...about your new mistress. I heard something about her."

Chloe smiled sweetly and put her index finger to her upper lip as if trying to hide her laughter.

"She's a real sadist. They say that once a princess burned a knight for fun." Chloe's eyes narrowed. "Also, Princess Emilia is a very possessive person. So as long as she doesn't get fed up with you or die, you'll live happily ever after."

"In joy? I'll probably be five pounds under by now when she gets tired of playing with me." Adam thought, grimacing. "Though I have ways of dealing with ladies like that, too."

Adam's eyes became darker, and suddenly a strange aura began to emanate from him, which made even Chloe shiver. However, Adam himself did not notice it.

"Okay, let's discuss the plan now." Adam blinked.

Chloe came to her senses, and they began discussing how to spoil Albert's life little by little. Adam had to expend a lot of nerve to remember the methods in reality.

He tried to find any clues in the books he had read, and then his eyes glowed black.

"Chloe, I have an idea."

Satisfied, Adam left Chloe's room. He saw that it was already dawning and sighed heavily. He still did not want to go to the princess, who was sadistic and stronger than him!

The escort arrived an hour later. Adam changed into a nice suit and looked quite stylish. On the way, he opened his profile.

Adam did not feel a particularly strong impact from the increase in power. The political impact, however, was a different matter, for he noticed that some facial features became softer, making him more attractive.

Adam thought about it and realized with a bitter smile that even in this book, where brains and strength are important, beauty plays a big role. So he could only shrug his shoulders.

"I wish I had the looks of my main characters... I wouldn't know a bad day!"

And as Adam walked down the stairs, he suddenly remembered a skill he had not yet acquired. One of those skills was called "charm," which could help him become more attractive in the eyes of others.

So far, however, this skill has been of no use to him. Who needed his so-called "charm" without any talent? Adam's main goal now was to get through the plot of The Imperial Masquerade.

Given that Adam takes up most of the main character's body time, the book is going to be thoughtful and good.

Adam smiled, and suddenly the space around him froze. He wasn't surprised, so he waited for it to continue. Unfortunately, even after five minutes, nothing happened.

"Do they miss too many scenes?" Adam thought, and suddenly he found himself in an unfamiliar room.

Judging by his position, he was sitting on his knees. And in front of him was a girl who sat cross-legged on the bed, her legs tightly bound in white garter stockings.
