Life Lesson

Maple felt chill run down over her body. She was already nervous but now she somehow attracted attention of some young miss who is targeting her for her average face. She is the one who doesn't have eyes to distinguish between beautiful and average. But why would God give me the punishment for it? I better not attract any more unnecessary attention. There is one good thing that came out of it and that was gaining 20000 yen. She picked up the envelope and walked towards the young man who was still on the ground looking at her mesmerizingly. She helped him up to a nearby bench.

Maple: "Hello brother! What's your name, how old are you and what do you do?

Young man: I am Shu Wan. I don't work because I don't have a job. I am 25yrs. old.

Maple: How did you get into this situation?... I mean to ask how did you offend that lady"

Shu Wan: "I am her driver's son. My father is really hardworking and upright. My mother is in the hospital because she slipped, therefore injuring her arm. We need money urgently for hospitalization, but my father is too ashamed to ask. So, I asked the young miss to give me some becuase she is the only one who would be willing to help us servants. Atleast that's what I heard from other servants in the manor. I didn't expect her to humiliate me. Alas..my mom will suffer greatly".

Maple: "How much did you need for the hospital bills?"

Shu wan: "Doctor said it would be 20000 yen for treatment and occupying the hospital bed"

Maple pondered that isn't it the same amount of money that the miss gave her for making a fool of her. She was shocked and then chuckled slightly and took out the red envelop that she had picked up. She gave it to Shu Wan and said "Your young miss is not heartless. She did wanted to help you. I don't know what her reason was for making that humiliating scene infront of everyone. But, my guess would be that she wanted to teach you a lesson that you shouldn't be lazy and find work immediately so you could help support your family. She wanted you to become the pillar of the family by reminding you that in an emergency, no one would be willing to help. But if you were self sufficiant by earning you could have helped your mother and maybe that is why she humiliated you to remind you of it.

Shu wan: "If what you are saying is true, then she could have just told me instead of pushing me to the ground and creating a scene. She is really unruly and unreasonable"

Maple: "You wouldn't have taken it seriously if she just had told you. But now you see, how agitated you are? This agitation will guide you to get a job becuase she hurt your ego and self pride".

Shu Wan was in deep thought after listening to this fairy, Maple noticed it and didn't say anything further about this matter.

Maple: "Anyway, I am getting late for my interview. I should get going. Remember to thank your young miss".

Saying this she hopped around like a rabbit and entered Hong office building.
