Resurrected Legend

This is the story of a young man named Elen, who started his life as an insignificant creature in the world called Celestia. He fought his way from there to the very top of the world, leaving behind a legend that even the powerful hands of time can't wash away from the annals of history. I know you are reading this to see if my story is your type, right? Let me help you then. I will mention the characteristics of my story below. These will be the core principles of my story. Just go through them. First, yes, the main character is overpowered. For those who say that this is the same in all the other novels out there, let me give you a valid reason for this: HE IS THE MAIN CHARACTER, GODDAMMIT. Do you seriously think anyone can become the main character just because of pure luck without potential? Sorry, but this is a fantasy world, and if you are a donkey, you won’t become a divine dragon just because you work hard 24/7. Second, Elen won’t be a multiple-women-loving bastard who builds a massive harem with thousands of beauties and goes on seducing women everywhere with his god-like looks. Third, although he is overpowered, that doesn’t mean everyone around him is weaker. Also, being overpowered doesn't mean he can destroy anyone with a flick of his hand. It will be a gradual process of going from weak to strong, using his brain and muscle. Fourth, this is not going to be a typical cultivation story. The power system in my story is a unique one, with many fantasy elements mixed in. I can guarantee you this is going to be a unique experience, completely different from the traditional ones.

"Elen Draven," Elena said with a smile.

"Don't you think this name is a bit weird?" Rui asked with a strange look on her face. "I can understand the first part, but what about the second part? Is it that man's name?"

Elena shook her head. "I told him before I left that I wouldn't ask him to take responsibility for me. So, I won't give his name as an identity to my child. Although I can't give my child a father, at least both my and his father's names will be a part of his name. That's enough."

"Whatever, it's all up to you. I will go and register the little one's name in the hospital database and get the Alliance ID for him," Rui said. After saying that, Rui turned to head out of the hospital room, but suddenly she thought of something and asked, "Are you sure you want to register him as a single-parent child? Since you know his father's name, you can just add his name to the parental information."

Elena shook her head. "Register him as a single-parent child, Aunty. I was just a slave his father bought. Neither I nor my son have the right to add his name with ours."

Rui sighed, "Rest well, dear. I don't know if it's intuition or not, but I think one day Elen will make you someone who is respected by the whole world." She then walked out of the room.

Elena gently touched her son's head and whispered, "Mom doesn't want anything else; I just want to see you live a happy life, that's all."

Thus time flowed; days became weeks, weeks became months, and months became years.

Elen was 6 years old now. After working for 2 years in Rui's shop for free, Elena continued being a full-time employee at Rui's shop. She worked day and night to collect money to send Elen to school.

When Elen was 5 years old, Rui decided to end her business and spend the rest of her life with her daughter. Thus, she sold her shop to a fat merchant. Although Elena continued to work there, the new owner of the shop, seeing that Elena was a single mother with no one else to rely on, offered to marry her as his 8th wife, which Elena refused.

After this incident, the man tried to misbehave with her many times. At last, Elena quit her job with no other option in front of her.

After searching for a long time, at last, Elena rented a small house with a shop attached to it with her savings from all these years of work. She started her own shop that sold handwritten battle art books and paintings there, which soon became a little famous due to her talent in art and literature.

Thus, Elena started to earn some money, which she saved for Elen's education. As here, education is a money-burning process. The poor can only go to Alliance public schools where education is free, but you will only be taught academic matters like reading and writing.

If you want to set foot in the world of cultivation, you have to study in one of the arcane art schools, which will cost money in a large amount. Elena herself studied in a public school, but like any other parent, when it comes to her son, she wanted to give him the best, even if it meant her doing extra work day and night.

Today, Elen was turning 6 years old, and from tomorrow onward he will start his schooling in Golden rose Academy. Although it comes last in the list, it is still an arcane academy. Elena had spent more than half of her savings as admission fees to get a seat here.

Since it is Elen's birthday, Elena had brought him to a nearby restaurant to celebrate. It was an expensive restaurant; normally, Elena would not even turn to look at such places meant for rich people, but Elen was curious about the place and was pestering her to bring him to this place.

At last, Elena decided to spend big for one time and brought Elen here.

"It's a place where many powerful people come to eat. You have to be a good boy and don't make a sound, ok?" Elena said to the little boy with blue eyes, who was holding her hand with a cheerful smile.

"Don't worry, Mom. I am a big boy now. I won't misbehave," he said happily.

Elena smiled. Both of them slowly walked towards the restaurant. Since Elena has a disability in one of her legs, it took them some time to reach there.

After ordering a small birthday cake for Elen, the mother-child pair sat at a seat near the window.

The restaurant was actually one of the branches of the famous Flavour's Group, which has over 35 branches all across the human world. The luxury here was also top-notch.

Our little Elen was sitting still on the chair like a doll, afraid that he would accidentally damage something if he touched it. Seeing this, Elena smiled.

Not long after, a waiter delivered the cake she had ordered along with a small knife.

"Happy birthday, my dear Elly," Elena said with a smile.

"Mom, I am a boy. You can't call me Elly; it's a girl's name," Elen protested.

"Okay, okay. What can I do? My baby boy is even more beautiful than most girls," Elena said with a chuckle. "Now cut the cake."

Elen nodded and took the knife, but before he could cut the cake, a man wearing a professional suit came running towards them.

"Sorry, ma'am, you can't sit here. We have an important guest who will visit us for his daughter's birthday," the man said impatiently.

"It's okay, we will sit somewhere else," Elena said.

"No, they ordered 32 tables, so all the other tables are full. We want you guys to leave quickly so that we can arrange everything," the man said rudely.

Elena looked at her son, who was holding the knife in his hand, and said to the man, "I already paid for the cake. It's his birthday today. Just give us five minutes; we will leave after cutting the cake."

"Can't you understand human language, lady? All you ordered was a cheap cake, and you dare put on airs in front of me," the man got angry and tried to drag Elena out. Because of her crippled legs, when he pulled her, Elena fell to the ground.

"Mom," Elen ran over to Elena and hugged her. "Let's go home, Mom. I don't want any cake. They are bad people."

Elena silently hugged her crying child.

"What's happening here?" Just then, a robust voice came from the entrance of the restaurant.

A man holding the hand of a little girl walked in through the door, followed by many wealthy-dressed people. The little girl was wearing a shiny blue dress; even a fool could tell that its price was over the roof.

Elena slowly stood up. Although she felt both angry and guilty for ruining her son's precious day, she could only endure it since she didn't have anyone else to rely on. "I am really sorry for the inconvenience. We will leave."

"I asked you a question," the man with the little girl questioned the one who pushed Elena.

"Sorry, sir. I am the manager of this Flavour's branch. This woman was refusing to vacate the table, saying it's her son's birthday, so I could only throw her out by force," the man in the black suit said with a righteous look on his face.
