The Fight Which I Didn't Want To Fight

We quietly started going towards the place. We hid behind a tree to look at the reason for the commotion. We soon saw to groups of people were fighting near a very luxurious merchant wagon.

One of the groups were draped in black clothes and had a mask on. The other group were draped in merchants clothes but with the way they were fighting, and the magic they used they most probably were trying to get away from the attackers and it is very likely that they failed to do so.

I sighed and decided not to get in their way, though I wouldn't get in their way to help those I can and those I need, but it is not upto me to decide who was the right party in this case, I just couldn't help the merchant side just because they were being attacked, first of all I was not confident in defeating them because there were many level 2 knights and magicians and I was just a mid-level 1.

And second of all I don't know if they are the right party maybe they destroyed the other ones family maybe they killed someone from their team nobody knows the backstory unless you are told.

I actioned Agatha to escape without anyone noticing,

"Hey someone is watching us" someone with a black mask on shouted.

Sh*t they found out.

I came out from my hiding spot and raised my hands upwards showing that we did not mean any harm.

Everybody had stopped fighting for a moment. Taking advantage of this the merchants three more people of the black robed people.

"We were just passing through and by mistake saw what occurred we will not tell about this to anyone," I said.

"Sorry, but only dead men keep secrets," a man from the black side said and started attacking.

I quickly took out an iron sword which I had brought from the city and parried his attack. Blocking his sword my arms grew numb top level 2 fighter and that too a magical knight.

Magical knights are different from mage and knights, knights are natural and are blessed with a stronger body and are physically extremely strong while mages are blessed with the gift of manipulating mana but very few people have the capability of using both mana and have a very strong physical strength.

"Achiya help," I called in my mind.

Due to the partner contract between me and Achiya we can talk to each other through our mental connections.

"I have no strength now other than healing as my level will only increase with yours,"

Cr*p, I thought while parrying another attack which pushed me two steps backwards, while I was fighting I was also trying to move away from my original spot as Agatha was still hiding behind the tree.

The masked man's next attack was coated with fire mana and when his sword touched mine it transferred heat through my arms and burnt my palm. This caused me to lose focus for a moment. The masked man being an experienced fighter didn't let go of this chance and swung his scorching red sword for my neck I quickly duck and made changed my mana to water affinity.

Water being the natural inhibiting element of fire. Each element has their own inhibiting element.

The fire has water.

The water has flora.

Flora has fire.

Wind has thunder.

Thunder has earth.

And the earth has the wind.

The light and dark elements inhibit each other.

I also equipped myself with the chakram in one hand with water mana rotating along the chakram rapidly. When the masked man saw that my elemental affinity was water he hesitated for a moment. But knowing that I was only a level one fighter and he is a level 2 fighter this hesitation did not last for a long.

After all the inhibiting affect of elements to work, the level difference should be closer. But the masked man made a mistake here. If it was ordinary mana it would have worked but as my mana was cosmic mana it was several times purer and better than regular mana.

I swung my sword with a lot of strength and made my water element mana colder, the touching of the hot and the cold swords caused an explosion, both of us were flung backwards. I threw my chakram at him.

And luckily,

The chakram pierced his face the brain matters along with blood came gushing out. I regained my balance after hitting my back on a tree.

"You have to improve your fighting style, kiddo" Mighty said.

The fights around me were also coming to an end.

While I was looking around the fights, my eyes got hooked to a beautiful girl who was fighting a mid-third level fighter. Though she was extremely beautiful on par with Agatha but what caught my eyes were her rod and her rod skills.

She was using a two-meter-long rod much bigger than her. But her skills with it were very refined and practiced. She was deflecting and attacking at the same time. She was using fire element mana and her rod had a blue flame at both of its ends.

What was even better about her was that she was only the mid second level but was fighting a third mid-level fighter with an upper hand

Soon the fights came to an end. The merchants which I doubt they were, gathered all the corpse at a place and buried them.

The beautiful woman who was fighting fiercely went inside the carriage and after some time came out. She came towards me and said with a haughty look,

"Her highness is calling you," she said

Her highness? Was she someone of the royal family, did I just fight for the royal family? Did I just kill someone who had come to take revenge for some atrocious acts a prince committed?

But I still went towards the carriage because I didn't want to enter a fight again just because I hurt someone's stupid pride.

I opened the carriage, who I saw inside was a beautiful looking girl who had her face covered with a veil as is customary of the royal family.

Deep in my heart I was slightly happy that it was not a prince. the other girl most likely should be the princess' personal guard and the other must also be serving the princess.

The princess slightly nodded her head, towards me and said,

"We thankyou for your assistance,"

I was stunned hearing this, it was rare for a royalty to thank someone. My impression of the princess went a few notches higher.

"No, my majesty I was just stuck in the situation even without me your personal guards would have taken care of the situation."

"where are you going mister," she asked

"We are going to Triton," I replied as I saw no harm in telling her.

"Then you should come with us, we are also going to the royal city."

"uhh" I hesitated a bit, if it was I alone it would have been okay, but I had Agatha with me.

"Actually, I am not travelling alone I am travelling with someone else if it would not be trouble can you help us both.

The princess just nodded her head.

I called out for Agatha, and she came out form behind the tree with Achiya. Who was flying above her?

We both sat in the carriage with the princess, the beautiful girl and thus resumed our journey.
