Chapter 16: Awaken

The aggressive convulsing of Marissa seems to be unnatural as evident on the darkening veins on the girl's neck and it can not regarded as coincidence that right after they sealed the catalyst that this happen.

"What's wrong !? The catalyst have already been lock inside the faraday box, how can it still affect the host!?"

The professor panic a little seeing the situation.

" Damm it ! The spirit must be on a indiscriminate rampage as its energy supply was cut off!"

'But the girl's consciousness must have been stuck there unable to escape'

' it means I just need to wake her up'

The professor sit up and slap the face of the girl but it shows no effect.

' Shit! she need a stronger stimulant'

The professor stand up a scan the floor and looking for something , after seeing it the professor dash forward ad grab it. It was a taser , it feel out of the tool case he was carrying earlier, it was one of the tools/weapons he prepared when he decided to face this spirit.

Without much deliberation he turned on the taser , aim it at her neck and them zap.

Extreme pain travel the body of Marissa in a flash, her body muscles contract as a the effect of the electrical charges stimulating the alpha motor neurons on her body.

After a short while ,she drop heavily on the floor, her convulsing have stop and the bulging black nerves on her neck fade away.

She started to regain consciousness and her eyes open slowly.

She sluggishly tried to stand up but find that she can't find strength to.

" P-professor, w-what happened? was it over?"

" Yeah , the aggressive reaction of the spirit was outside my calculation but now that the catalyst was sealed it can't send electromagnetic frequencies to affect the material world outside that box. Probably "

"P-probably!?"

" Well ,it just a theory until we found concrete evidence to prove that it has already been sealed and that this method really work. Remember , scientist must always strive for total confidence on a fact , ' it should be ' is not a proper mindset for a scientist"

As the consciousness of an elderly woman begun to fade , her eyes scan around her white room and then her sight fell on a doll sitting on the bed side. A slight burn mark was evident on it left arm and a thread of smoke swirl from it. The elderly woman tried to reach at it but the drugs has already take effect, her mind turn extremely calm and then she was off the dreamland.
