Reborn to be the strongest God

After Centuries of being the Demonlord, Gerar quits. Why must he torture men when it's no longer fun? Why must he conquer the world when there's nothing to gain from it? Why must he be the demon lord when there's nothing left to challenge? So, he decides to quit and just dies. But instead of being reborn as a weak demon or even a human, he gets reborn as an Angel and thus his journey to supreme godhood begins! . .. ... Hi, Yet here- So, this is a fantasy story but there are also sci-fi elements. There's a harem but Mc's not particularly into romance. This story is basically a culmination of the things I find interesting and hopefully, you guys will find it interesting too (It'll keep on evolving into different coherent stories as the volumes pile up). This'll also be my largest planned novel yet, so let's see how that turns out. I'll try to keep the updates regular and will release bonus chapters if I can. In return, I expect votes. Oh yeah, I do have a server. https://discord.gg/vnnbHCJ4Sn Thank you for reading; I wish you a good day.

Believe

Apparently, Gerar had been reborn as an angel.

Golden hair with streaks of black, a chubby cute face, and those black mysterious eyes, almost drawing in all the light… He was indeed a good-looking baby. And as his mother had put it- "More beautiful than even the church!" Which was blasphemy according to the church but they had no way of knowing…

White walls- white tall ceiling-

He was in a bassinet.

Awfully cushiony but at the same time-

Dreadful for some reason.

Everything around him screamed of joy and all holy and yet-

Why did he feel so miserable?

The horrible feeling aside- Gerar focused... and-

On the first day he regained some of his memories but his demonic nature was still fuzzy. Even for an angel he was too conscious as a baby. With ease he deduced that he was a reincarnation of his past self but he was unaware of his previous race.

Or maybe, he didn't want to recall that bit?

Regardless of why this happened or why it even happened in the first place, it was true- something in him screamed with delight.

The curiosity-

The possibility-

And perhaps-

Something more…

But something else, in pure disgust.

He did not like all this joy and light and bullshit, no.

***

By day two, he started floating around and by day three he could converse.

"Our son talked!" The woman held the baby like a plate- right in front of her husband in the living-

Breathing erratic- a half smile on her face, blonde locks all over her face-

Brown hair, somewhat decent face; "What're you talking about? There's no way-" The husband swayed his eyes away from God Tube and stared at the baby with curious eyes. "A three-day old would-"

No matter how he stared- it was just a typical baby with no wings…

A lesser angel.

"Da- da-" The husband pointed at himself. "Me- da-da-" But he still humored his wife anyway.

Besides, it was kind of fun.

"Spare me the pleasantries- father- I know who you are…"

He stared-

The father-

Stared-

He stared- mouth hanging and- "Um… what?" He then stared at his disheveled wife and-

Gerar or rather now named Mihael by lord Jamas, had just… talked.

"I'll be back-" Derke, Mihael's father grabbed the boy, almost fumbled to the door but somehow properly chanted the floating spell and… took him straight to the supreme lord Jamas, the lower God of vestige.

***

Clouds everywhere-

And on top of the white fluffy cloud-

A mansion-

The mansion of Jamas-

Angels floating about- cheery atmosphere. Some had wings, others did not.

And Derke was one of the few that did not- a lesser.

It sure didn't stop him from blazing through the hallways- straight to the sacred chamber though.

"My lord, my son-"

Derke had made it straight to the god's office.

Normally, this wasn't permitted.

However- given how the god was technically Mihael's godfather- it was allowed… just this once.

"Yes, I know. What is it?"

'Then why are you asking?' Derke didn't voice the thought.

"My son has started to talk!"

"Is that something I'm supposed to be worried about? Go party or something like the lower races if you're that proud."

Vested in holy robes- he looked to be old. Long white beard- flimsy skin- droopy eyes… He didn't even stare at boy.

'This guy is a god? Were gods supposed to be like that?' Mihael thought.

But then again, he didn't really remember much- so he didn't think too much of it.

"He's only three days old…" Derke said. "You were literally the one who named him, remember?"

He had named hundreds if not thousands of angels in the past week, so he couldn't possibly- "I see, I see." Jamas pondered and then blurted out, "Wait what?" Voice almost a shriek.

"I'd assume you are a god? Why must you act so mundane?" Mihael said in a placid and deep voice. And somehow profound?

It was a voice he created with magic. For a baby to have such a voice, it was both inconceivable and frightening in a sense.

All the angels around them-

Everyone-

Just…

Stared.

However, Mihael chose those words carefully so that he could weigh the worth of the so-called God. Besides, he was still unaware of things around him and the capabilities of a god.

"He really does speak!"

"What is going on, my lord? Is something wrong with him?" Derke pleaded.

Angels took at least two months to mature enough to be able to speak-

However-

This kid-

Only took three days!

Something must be wrong with him, right?

Right!?

The god hovered his hand over the baby's body- grinning in surprise- "I think he might be destined to become a high angel or even a low-tier god such as myself." As he kept his hand on him… his grin grew wider and wider and eventually… crushed… "Or maybe-" he didn't voice his thoughts… eyes squinting… "For now, just go back home and stay put…"

"That's amazing!"

"It is," Jamas said and then mumbled," But I've never heard something like this in seven thousand years…"

Derke couldn't hear him. He was too excited of what he'd learned.

"Thank- thank you so much!" He danced with joy-

And with that-

Slowly but surely just ran out of the office-

Life was far too colorful.

***

Delighted, Derke returned home and told his wife, Mina, everything.

Their family finally had new hope.

They experienced true bliss.

And days passed by in a flash-

Mihael was too young but he still managed to learn to read in a mere week and he could cast simple healing spells by the second. Life was fast and entertaining. He couldn't understand why but everything seemed fun and wonderful. The more he learned, the more he wanted to learn. The more he experienced, the more he wanted to experience.

He was curious and his curiosity couldn't be clenched by reading books. By just the first month he had already finished every book in the house and he knew more spells than both of his parents combined. And he even went around exploring the lands- alone at the age of just a single month!

As a baby!

At age of two months, he mastered the art of eating, sleeping and reading at the same time; one eye open, one eye closed- mouth suckling on its own…. He was still a prodigy.

***

"He's amazing!"

On the dinner table-

Mihael attached to his mother's chest-

While his parents ate-

"Finally, the house of Zable has a hope! The hope that our son would become a god!" Derke declared, pulling out that vintage wine he held back in his celler.

He'd run off with Mina three centuries ago.

He ran from his family-

Mina ran from hers-

Together- they lived on a small house at the edge of the city…

They were content with each other- as love was involved.

However-

They wanted more.

They tried having kids-

But never succeeded.

After centuries of practice-

They were finally blessed with their first child-

Mihael-

And he was a prodigy?

Ah- how the gods had blessed them!

Or so they thought…

"I believe in him!" Mina almost always had a smile on her face, whenever she stared at the baby-

A hand on the baby's head… gently patting him. "I believe in him," She repeated.

Although he grew spiritually rather fast, his physical growth was normal like any other angel.

"Me too…" Derke said, smooching on his wife's cheeks.
