"Okay, close your eyes. I'm going to hide. No cheating," Historia declared, taking charge of the game.

"Alright," I replied obediently, closing my eyes and covering them with my hand. "One, two, three, four, five," I counted, listening carefully to the sound of footsteps in the background. "Six, seven, eight, nine, ten," I finished, removing my hand from my eyes. The sun momentarily blinded me, but I quickly adjusted and prepared to begin my search.

My first instinct led me to check behind the tree, as it was one of the few hiding spots nearby. "Are you behind the tree?" I called out, peering behind it, only to find an empty space.

I diligently explored the area around the house, but Historia was nowhere to be found. I searched diligently, my frustration growing with each passing moment. Determined, I continued looking for another five minutes.

"Okay, I give up. Where are you?" I shouted, feeling defeated. Suddenly, a tuft of blond hair caught my attention, poking out from the yellow field nearby.

"Your hair blends in with the field around you," I exclaimed, dumbfounded. How had I not thought of that while searching?

"Now it's my turn to hide. You count to ten, and I'm going to find a hiding spot around here," I said, pointing to the surroundings. As I spoke, I noticed that the other kids who had been bullying Historia were still unconscious on the ground. Although a part of me felt concerned, I chose to leave them there, thinking, "Not my problem."

"Alright," Historia agreed, closing her eyes and beginning to count. Seizing the opportunity, I sprinted towards a large tree and used my airbending skills to propel myself to the top, camouflaging myself among the lush green leaves.

Once Historia finished counting, she began her search. She checked the grass field and the area around the small wall, growing increasingly disappointed as she couldn't find me. "Why did she suddenly get sad? Does she think I left?" I wondered silently.

"You got very close," I said, attempting to give her a hint. She heard my voice and started searching around the tree and its branches, but she couldn't spot me. I was skilled at hiding.

"I know you're up there," she declared, her determination evident.

"But can you see me, though?" I teased playfully from above.

"I'm 100% sure that you're up there," she insisted, looking up.

"You have 30 seconds to find me before I win," I challenged her. However, as I glanced down, I saw Historia attempting to climb the tree.

"Wait, hold up! Are you really climbing?" I called out, concern lacing my voice. Worried she might fall, I swiftly jumped down, positioning myself to catch her if needed.

"I don't want you to get hurt, so please come down slowly," I urged, watching carefully as she descended.

"Okay, I will--" Historia started to reply but lost her grip, tumbling downward. Reacting swiftly, I summoned a strong gust of wind beneath her, gently guiding her to the ground unharmed.

"Are you okay?" I asked, my worry evident.

"I'm fine," Historia replied, still keeping her head down.

"Wait, why are you looking down?" I asked, tilting my head curiously.

"What kind of friend am I to make you worry about me so much in such a short time?" she expressed, her voice filled with self-doubt as she avoided eye contact.

"Hey, it's fine. If you want, I can teach you

the basics of self-defense and how to climb a tree as a bonus," I offered, hoping to reassure her. (Author's note: She will learn much more about self-defense and other skills in the future.)

"Really?" Historia asked, her eyes lighting up with a glimmer of hope.

"Yes, really," I confirmed, smiling warmly at her.

"When do we start?" she eagerly inquired, eager to begin.

"Probably tomorrow. It's getting late, and you should go home. Your mom must be worried sick about you," I suggested, sensing her longing to return.

"She probably is," Historia admitted, her expression hinting at the fact that her mother likely didn't care much about her.

"Meet me here tomorrow," I said, firming up our plan.

"Okay, but where do you live?" she asked, curiosity piqued.

"I live in a large cave in the forest outside the wall," I answered nonchalantly, shrugging.

"Aren't you scared of animals or even Titans?" she asked, genuine concern lacing her voice.

"I'm fine. So, see you tomorrow," I reassured her, turning to leave.

"Bye! You're always welcome to come back," Historia called after me, her smile radiating warmth.

I gracefully hopped over the fence, taking a final glance at the bullies still unconscious on the ground. Determined to protect Historia from further trouble, I created a gust of wind to push them away from her family's estate. Satisfied with my actions, I ran off, utilizing airbending to enhance my speed and move silently through the surroundings.

After approximately 30 minutes of soaring and descending, I reached the cave that I called home. "I'm an engineer, for God's sake. My house cannot remain like this," I muttered, recollecting all the times I had helped my mom with decorating and my dad with constructing things around our house.

A/N should I make a Historia pov like what she was doing before meeting Jack what she was thinking In such. Also should the chapters for this fanfic be 1k word long considering I will only post on Monday Wednesday in Friday
