Life in New Orleans

On the way over to the ship not much really happened.

but while I was on the ship, I can tell you; I really don't like it.

I love cruises in the future but not a big fan of the ships back in this time.

I stand near where the ship docks and wait for my siblings, I somehow got here before them.

As the ship comes closer to dock, I decided to wait and see if anything will happen, I know my siblings especially my brothers.

I'm wait thinking, maybe this time nothing will happen then a group of guys come aboard the ship. It looks like they are going to steal people's belongings that are still on the ships.

I laugh to myself, obviously it isn't going to turn out well for the little group.

Yelling and hurried steps is all I hear before it all stops and a couple of guys walk out like nothing is wrong, with bags in their hands, shortly behind them are my well-mannered siblings.

I laugh at myself on that last thought unfortunately it appears that I laughed out loud mistakenly.

They all turn ready to rip some heads if needed, until they notice it's me

Elijah "how was your travels, it's been a while, up to anything fun?"

sarcastically Kol states "yes any fun adventures, since you got to roam the world by yourself, while I'm forced to stay with this lunatic."

Klaus pats Kol's back."oh Kol, we aren't that bad."

He shrugs off his hand. "I wanted to stay in Spain, but you guys snapped my neck.

by the time I woke we were on the ship."

Klaus walked towards me "yes we did this because we had to leave you made to much noise and we promised to meet here, in at this time, And if I could sub-do Ethan he wouldn't have left either."

I Heard my name while laughing at the fact that, not two seconds back together they are arguing.

Looking at Klaus. "Your correct brother you can't beat me, so you can't control me."

I then looked at Kol. "Kol we all promised to meet up along the Mississippi River in the early 1700s, did you really plan on not coming?"

He looked at all of us. "to get away from your controlling mad twin any day, He's got a lot worse over the years you've been away."

Having enough of out banter Elijah yelled. "QUIET! All of you, we just returned to our old lands and met back up with Ethan after 200 years can we not argue right away."

We all calm down, after it looks like we all are calm and not about to kill anyone I speak.

"Elijah is correct we just met back up let's not argue just yet let's head to town to settle down for now."

On our walk to the town, I learned a couple things for one Katerina is now Katerina Mikealson.

The original wife some people call her now.

I'm a little disappointed that they didn't try to invite me, I would have stopped what I was doing and gone to support my brother but, I can't change the past, so we'll move forward.

It's now 1720 in the last few years we have helped the governor build the city of New Orleans for its first levees.

I also sent my clone back to the strix a few times but one of the times I decided to have him bring back some of my hybrids to surround the city for protection.

Sadly, nothing really happened for the next 100 years the year is now 1820, we pay the governor gold to keep quiet about our other than human activities.

One fine day the governor decided to throw us a party.

use brothers where upstairs with our drinks enjoying ourselves.

As we were about to finish up our sister came running up to us asking "can I turn him." referring to the governors' son.

Elijah "I don't think turning the governor's son is quite a good idea, he keeps our secret, but I think turning his son will go to far."

Before Rebekah can say anything, Katerina comes upstairs to us "I would have to agree with Elijah on this one Kol and Klaus already making it hard for him to keep his mouth shut. I don't think we need to add another reason for him not to."

Klaus "I agree, you see sister if we turned every poor sap that you fall in love with, there would be no men left for the human race to continue, also no food for use so he will not be turned."

The governors son started to yell "hey! That is no way to talk to a lady especially your sister!

Know your place."

Before Klaus could move to kill him, I pulled him to myself grabbed him by the throat and ran to the banister hanging him over.

"Is this really the guy you want to turn, a guy who doesn't know his place.

He's even stupid enough to talk to your family as such, I should just let go right now."

Rebekah "please brother, don't let go there is no need to kill him."

I laughed, so does Klaus as I say.

"But sister, he told Klaus to know his place so, I'm just nice enough to show him his."

Then I released my grip and watched him fall to his death.

The next day my whole family went to the governor's son's funeral to keep up appearances.

While we were walking behind everyone, we noticed someone whipping a young man Off to the right of us.

My brother grabbed a rock and threw it through the older gentleman's head killing him.

He then went up to the kid and asked him for his name, when he explained that he doesn't have one, he then bestowed him the name Marcellus.

It's been about a year now since my brother took in Marcellus as Ward .

Me and Elijah have been teaching him things. Elijah teach him arts. Well, I teach him how to fight.

"you're doing a good job for your age, but you need to get the stance correct before we can move forward, when you strike make sure you pivot on your most used leg and don't leave an opening." I instruct.

"I'm trying, I'll get it I promise I will get it right one day."

"You're doing just fine it's only been a short time and with my training and your practices with Elijah, which I'm hearing is going very well, I proud of the progress you have made in both areas." I say as I pat his shoulder.

"I just want to be like you and fight like you do it's like a dance I want that." Marcellus says while looking dejected.

Klaus comes in from around the corner clapping.

"We'll isn't this nice to see my twin and ward all happy together."

"Why don't you go see what Elijah is doing and we will pick this back up later." I tell him while I look right at Klaus.

"Really why do you have to make a scene wherever you go."

"He's my ward but he seems to want to be with everyone but me, why is that!" He asks while raising his voice.

" Maybe If you took time to teach him something of at least did anything with him he would. instead, you challenge men to all those duels you only start them just to kill someone." I say as I just stare at him unblinkingly.

I get no reply as he leaves.

Later in the evening I hear noise in the center yard.

I go downstairs to see Kol putting on a show for Marcellus when Klaus and Elijah show up and ask what's going on.

He just says he's "just showing Marsellus the wonderful art of the theater." When you look around all your see is dead bodies and blood in Marcellus's mouth.

Klaus tell him to "let it go and walk away."

But all he gets is "my blood is in his system we can turn him right now and you will get what you want, all you have to do is snuff him and you'll have it."

That's when I walk down and say, "there's no need for that he's just a kid."

"What got into your head to think all of this is ok, you went too far this time."

" I agree you went too far this time brother.

There will be no Turning him, you also need to be punished." He says this while he turns him to face him then snaps his neck.

Elijah "what do you plan on doing with him, he's gone way to far this time we can't just let him doing this again."

Klaus "I agree so that's why I'll put him in the cellar to desiccate for a while and bring him back in a few years."

"I can put a spell on the door so no one can open it and also make the desecration quicker." I say while I walk towards the cells.

Later in the day Elijah tells me that "we should stay away from Marcellus, and let Klaus take care of him it'll be good for him.

It will bring out the better side of him.

I told him "No I will not if you want to do that, then go ahead.

Klaus can share, I will still teach him what he wants to learn, if he asks it of me."

After that conversation Elijah did what he asked me to do he stayed away and acted cold towards him.

Klaus did step up but, what did it do to the child mentally after what he went through at a young age.

It's been 11 years since Marcel has become class's ward.

As of late, he has been fencing with Rebekah and everyone can tell he's fond of her but has yet to make a move.

But now that he's an adult one night, Klaus caught them together when Marcel kissed Rebekah.

After I heard the news, I went to talk to Rebekah about how I think this is wrong at every level, and I think that Marcel only wants her for the immortality and the power.

as of late Marcel, keeps asking us to turn him, but Klaus denies him.

Is i walk up to Rebekah who was just sitting in the open I walk up and ask?

"Do you truly want to go after Marcel, or are you just going after him because he went after you first?"

"I truly do love him. Can you please make Klaus see reason and let us be together. you and Klaus have stopped me for almost 1000 years, you raise Marcel you know he will be good to me." Rebekah pleads.

"that's the reason why I don't want you to do it to be together.

we did raise him first I see him as a nephew, I think that's wrong on every level. also, because we raised him, I know he's just using you to become a vampire and a true member of the family he wants to power." How do you say straight faced

"you're wrong he likes me; he loves me. I've seen it in his eyes for years. He doesn't want me for the power or to be a vampire." she says.

" you're right he does like you, but I bet you if I brought up the chance of him becoming a vampire, but he would have to leave you or live out a normal human life with you he would choose a vampire every day because like I said he wants the power, the immortality.

Actually, let's make a bet let's see if I'm right or you are, I will go up to him and bring up the ultimatum I just told you it's to live out a normal long human life with you or turn into a vampire right then and there but he hast to leave you. let's see who is right."

Rebecca thinks about it for a second before she agrees and goes to hide. While I look for Marcel.

When I find him, I go up and get straight to the point.

"I heard what you and Rebecca have been up to, so I came up with a proposition for you. You have two choices one stay as a human live a long, healthy life with Rebekah or I will give you my blood right now and turn into a vampire, but you could never be with Rebekah. I see you anywhere close to her romantically. I will end your life right then and there.

I don't go back on deals; I don't expect others to go back on deals."

Surprisingly, he actually thought about it for seconds, but only for a second before he eagerly looks up into my eyes "turn me right now!"

So, I did I bit into my wrist, fed him my blood and killed him slowly for hurting my sister, and that turned him into a vampire, but while I did this, Rebekah walked into the room, obviously heartbroken because once again, she couldn't find true love.
