Ruins

Observing the figure in black approach with their exposed neon blue eye.

The mystery figure couldn't help but think,'Just a little closer. Just a bit more. Come on. Come on. Yeah.'

'Right there.' they thought as pulled the trigger.

*BANG*

A bullet heading for Aamir was fired.

Back with Black Ink, he was approaching as fast as [Stride] would. Running on the sandy and hot desert.

Suddenly, time seemed to slow down, as he felt a sniper round enter the limited range he had set for Black Ink's [Observation Haki]. Only this time, unlike the previous other rounds, it wasn't aimed at him.

It was aimed at something or someone further behind him. Probably at Aamir or worse, a teammate.

The bullet moved like lightning towards its target.

Black Ink reacted quickly, but with the speed that [Stride] allowed, he couldn't catch up to the shot to intercept it.

So he swiftly pulled out his guns and aimed at the bullets path.

The bullet was still heading for its target.

A normal gunshot wouldn't have the speed to catch up to the sniper round. And a single [White Howl], although it would have the speed to catch up to the sniper round, did not have a diameter wide enough to freeze the bullet and knock it completely off course.

The bullet was moving further away from Black Ink and closer to its target.

He readied to fire a [White Howl] from both guns. But then noticed the cracks on the barrel of one of his guns. It was the one he had used to defect the bullet before.

Using [White Howl] with such a gun would be dangerous.

"Fuck."

The bullet now even further away.

Without any contemplation he released the cracked gun. Then, he gripped the other gun with both hands and aimed at the sniper rounds fight path, took a wide and stable stance, then fired a hail Mary shot.

The released gun falls towards the ground.

[White Howl - Full Cannon]

A completely improvised attack that essentially produces the force and power of two [White Howl] from a single gun.

When he shot a huge and powerful cold beam of white light with a diameter, the size of a human was fired out of the muzzle of the gun.

*VVVBOOMM*

A loud cybernetic and futuristic boom sounded when Black Ink's pulled the trigger.

The shot was so powerful that it scattered and blew away the sand at his feet and pushed down on him with such force that it would have crashed the average man.

But Black Ink stood his ground, still holding a gun with both hands.

Shooting a huge white laser into the sky. Which could be seen for miles. Had there been any clouds in the sky, they would have been blown away.

Black Ink's teammates in the Humvee couldn't but look up at the laser and wonder what was happening.

The sniper round entered the beam and, in the span of seconds, started to cool down, deviating off its flight path a bit. When it was cooled in the beam, it was then frozen, causing it to lose a lot of its momentum.

When it came out of the huge beam, it still flew for a while before it hit the sand nowhere near its target.

The beam of light finally stopped and disappeared.

Black Ink put his hand down. Sighed a sigh of relief.

Picked up the gun he had dropped. It was broken, but it could still be fixed.

And as for the gun, he fired the improvised attack with he knew it had at most 2 to 4 normal shots in it before it broke down. It wasn't built to handle such power.

He returned the guns to their holster. Before looking at the exact location of the sniper. He was alert and close to the sniper's location, so this time, he was able to pinpoint where the sniper was.

Fairly close by the mysterious sniper looked in complete horror at what they had seen. The neon blue glow faded from their iris and revealed a set of hazel iris. The neon blue viens also slowly fade.

Their plan was perfect it should have worked. After they took the shot, Aamir Barkawi should have been dead. But this figure in Black pulls out such a powerful attack just to stop it.

They couldn't help but think what would happen if they were on the receiving end of that blust.

They quickly looked through the scope at the figure in black. And what they saw turned their blood cold.

They saw what appeared to be the figure looking at them.

They panicked and backed away.

'No, it couldn't be.' They thought as they looked again.

Only to find that the figure wasn't their anymore.

'Where the fuck are they?' The sniper asked.

'Shit. Are they on their way here?' When they thought this immediately got up and bolted.

Leaving behind their sniper rifle. It was not needed anymore. It would just slow them down anyway.

They ran to an abandoned village nearby. It was too barren where they were. They were out in the open.

They wore a mercenary style tactical wear. With an assault rifle, a gun, a tactical knife and a few other arsenal.

Just a little while later after the mystery sniper left.

Black Ink arrived at the sniping location. He looked down at his side to see the rifle.

'Ditched it. Smart choice. Sure they could have taken another shot but that would be unwise. Even if they hit their target. By the time they confirmed the kill I would be on top of them.' Black Ink critiques.

He scans the area looking for were the shooter could have gone.

He spots a ruin in the distance.

'There's nowhere else to hide. That's the only place they could have gone.' Black Ink reasoned.

At his speed, he arrives at the ruins in seconds.

He notices that the ruins probably used to be a village. He saw what was left of a gate, the buildings inside were broken and damaged, some houses were just a set of dusty walls now. It was a ghost and sand village.
