plus ultra.

These words hit Midoriya like a tonne of bricks. His back was against the wall. Mr. Aizawa didn't look like he was playing. If he tried to use his quirk and injured himself. It was over for him. He had come all this way just to be kicked out.

What would All Might think?

He stood there in the softball throwing circle with his head down. The situation was very hopeless for him.

His classmates all looked at him. They had all heard what Mr. Aizawa said, but there was nothing there could do.

Some felt sorry for him. Others felt that although cruel, Mr. Aizawa was right. Fighting together with someone like him would be really inconvenient. Some simply didn't care.

They hoped he could somehow pull through.

All Might, who had arrived a long time ago but hid himself behind a building, watched what was happening to his protégé. Gripping the wall thighly.

Izuku Midoriya stood there with the soft ball in his hand.

"I just have to throw the ball without injuring my hand. Imagine an egg. Imagine an egg. Don't break the egg. Don't break the egg." Midoriya kept muttering.

Clutching the ball in his hand. He took a stance. Pulled his hand back and threw the ball.

"PLUS ULTRAAAAAA!" He screamed at the top of his lungs.

Nothing much changed in his throw other than the fact that the red pinkish lines from before were nowhere to be found on his arm.

However, as the ball left his hand. Leaving the last point of contact, his index finger. Red pinkish lines appeared on his index finger as he used it to propel the ball flying into the distance.

*Boom*

The ball disappeared into the distance. Seeing this with a little tears in his eyes. Izuku Midoriya smiled joyously, ignoring the pain of his on broking index finger and clinched his fist in success.

'Yes, I did it. All Might.' He thought.

Behind a building in the distance, All Might could seem with a proud grin.

'Knowing that your body can't handle the power of [One for All], so you applied it at the very last point of contact. Well done, young Midoriya.'

Back on the field, Shota Aizawa went away to tally the scores.

The students were discussing how the test went and where they believed they placed.

Calvin stared at the happy Midoriya with his friends.

"His quirk seems similar to mine. But his is more powerful. Although his control and utilisation of the quirk is quite poor." Calvin said, focusing in on Midoriya's finger, which had been injured because of his quirk.

"Yeah, it's a powerful quirk. If he can master it, he will be a promising candidate for number 1 hero." Dante said.

"Are you going to teach him how to use it?" Calvin asked."You did say you were looking to build a team of heroes." He added.

"Nah, his quirk qualifies, but I'm not so sure he does." Dante said, sighing.

"Why? Is it because of his timid nature?" Calvin couldn't help but ask.

"No. There is nothing wrong with being timid or scared. One can easily overcome such emotions. And when they are overcome, it can give birth to the strongest and bravest of people." Dante explained.

"Then why doesn't he qualify?" Calvin questioned again.

"Because he's still a child." Dante answered.

"A child?" Said Calvin confused.

Sighing, Dante again said. "That boy out there still believes in a fantasised idea of heroes. He believes that they always save the day and defeat the bad guys." He paused to look at Calvin. "Calvin, you and I both know that is only a glimpse of the true. Being a hero means fighting with your life one the line. Being a hero means that you are always on guard. It means seeing people die and there is nothing you can do. It means getting tempted everyday by corruption."

"I meant constantly staring into pure evil, but you can't even afford to blink."

"Many have blinked and lost. Heroes can be corrupt, and villains can be innocent."

"He believed that the world of heroes and villains is black and white. Heroes are the good guys, and villains are the bad guys." Dante ended.

Calvin listened and contemplated his words but then raised his head asked. "But is that what most of the students here believe?"

"True. That is probably what the majority of the students here believe. But unlike Midoriya, they can leave whenever they want. They can choose to stop when they discover the dark underbelly of the world. But Midoriya can't." Dante said.

"What? Why can everyone and not him?"

"I'm not really sure why, but for some reason, I feel as though Izuku Midoriya has a heavy burden on his shoulders. He has been burdened with great expectations. With a great responsibility that does not belong on the back of a child." Dante stated ominously. "Should the day come where he is truly introduced to the world of heroes. It could very well break him."

With Dante [Observation Haki] paired with his Vongola super intuition, he was able to get an accurate reading of a person. Maybe even read their subconscious actions unknown the the person themselves.

This made him a pretty go judge of character.
