In the night

After using his ice abilities to calm the flames in the kitchen and hallway. Dante headed outside.

On a dark, crisp evening. The full moon shone brightly in the sky. Its pure white rays mixed with the weak orange lights of the steetlamps washed over the streets and buildings.

Bathing the streets with a blueish white light with hints of orange warmth.

A figure dressed in black from head to toe could be seen exiting a building a white fog around him.

He walks out into the moonlight. Looks about ways of the street and sighs.

"Now, which way did Banning go?" Dante wondered.

A few miles from where Dante was. There was an overturned car. It had clearly just been in an accident. It was crushed into by a large truck. Inside the car , there was a person who appeared to be sleep or unconscious, laying there with his head just outside the car.

Around the crash site near the car, there were a few dead bodies with gunshot wounds.

A team of people could be seen approaching the overturned. Approaching the man.

"Extraction team on site. We've made contact. Check him vitals." said a military man who appeared to be in charge.

When they went to check, the unconscious man immediately shot up.

The first words out of his mouth.

"The took him. The President they took him." He said with regency.

Crawling out of the car and weakly getting up.

"I have to go get him back." He said.

The team leader grabbed and said.

"No, you're too weak now. You're injured leave it to us. You have done your part. let us go and get him, Banning. " The leader Mason said.

"With all due respect, my job is not done until the president is saved and sound back at the Whitehouse. And last I checked this isn't the fucking Whitehouse." Banning said harshly.

"So if you want to stop me you better damn well put a bullet in me." He added staring deep into the commander's eyes.

After an intense staring contest that lasted for while. Mason acquiesced.

Sighing "Fine. We have no time to waste let's move out."

A few minutes after they left. On the roof top of the building closest to the car crash a figure in black landed with the grace, power and dexterity of a panther. Under the light of the full moon he obversed the scene drawing his conclusions.

"Come on Banning you had one job." He sighed

A good distance away from the crash site on a narrow ally beside a construction site, which looked like the ongoing building site for a large apartment style building with 4 floors already made and a basement underneath it.

There with multiple generators next to fuel tanks providing electricity to the incomplete building though whether it was the work of the construction crew or another group was unknown.

There was any fierce change of gunfire between 2 enemy teams next to the site.

The extraction team with Mike Banning and the recent kidnappers.

"HQ received footage from the drone. The President is in that construction building over there. But we done know which floor." A soldier informed the team leader.

"Banning you have him. We have to hurry up and take out these lot then rescue the president." He shouted to get his message across despite the gunfire.

"No, you guys during draw their attention and cover me so I can enter and save the president." Banning said.

Mason didn't agree with such a reckless plan but now was the time to argue and Banning was a madman. He didn't seem like he would take no for an answer.

He just agreed and signaled his men to provide cover fire so Banning could go.

While they trading fire and Banning was running into the construction site tryong desperately hard to avoid the incoming gun shots. No one noticed a shadowy figure arriving on a roof near by staring at them.

Watching all the was transpiring with frightening and chilling degree of calmness as though what was happening was hard nothing to do with them as though they were watching an army of ants fight.

Leaping of the building with the flexibility of cat he disappeared into the shadows.
