Hunting.

When the armed enemy entered the building, the first thing they noticed was the temperature. It was cold. It instantly penetrated their clothes.

"Delta team take the right. Omega team take the left. Alpha team with me." Said the commander.

He was a large man with a single pair of whiskers, dark grey skin, and what seemed to be a fin on my head.

Due to the nature of safe houses, some of them were small with just the essentials, and others, not unlike the one they are currently in, were big and designed to confuse. Sort of like a lesser labyrinths easy to get lost.

Every room was connected to another room, which could lead to another or a dead-end.

"Delta team clear." Radioed in the lead of the Delta team, Entering the second room adjoin to the previous one.

As they entered, they checked their surroundings left, right, back. They failed to notice the Black Ink on the ceiling, hanging.

But they noticed the room was colder than the previous ones. It were as though they had stepped into a chiller. They could see their breaths with every exhale.

They clutched they guns tightly, searching for danger.

Unaware of what was watched from above.

Above them hung Dante, with one hand clawed into the ceiling and the other at his side, looking down at his unsuspecting prey, travelling in a single file line.

Releasing the ceiling, he falls, grabbing the head of the middle person and slaming it on the ground.

Before the person behind had the chance to fire his rifles. He grabs the gun and pulls it. Knocking him off balance and smacks his head into the ground.

He quickly does a backflips avoiding gunfire in his direction. He blended back into the shadows and disappeared. They were now aware of his presence, but it was too dark to see clearly. They quickly got into formation.

"Hold on, I'll turn on the light." Said someone approaching the switch.

"Wait, stay in formati-

Before he could complete the sentence, a shadow sped by grabbing the face of the lone enemy and smashing it into the side wall. Before disappearing again.

"Fuck. Where are you?" Shouted the would be commander, while firing occasionally at shadows he saw.

His men followed his example and began shooting at shadows.

"Show yourself!"

"Coward!"

Again, the shadow appeared, this time the shadow forced it's way into the middle of the formation. Before any of them could react.

[Reborn Series: Restraint]

They all suddenly fall down like puppets with their strings cut. They lied there groaning but unable to move.

[Restraint] a takedown technique that involves the rapid dislocation of every joint in the body. One can choose which joint to dislocate and how painful it is for a desired effect.

Standing over their groaning bodies. Black Ink though to himself.

'Ugh, got to do this two more times. I'm sure the others heard the gun shots, so they will be more alert.'

'And then there is that commander. He mostly like has a quirk.'

'A license to kill would make my job so much easier. This 2 years of no killing is making me rethink the whole hero thing. Well it be just as annoying. Will it be just as annoying?'

He sighed making his way to his next victims.

Later in another room, in another corner.

"Omega team stay alert. Judging by the gun shots the enemy has made contact." The omega team lead said.

"I can't get through to Delta team."

They all felt a sudden drop in temperature. Their breath became more and more visible with each breath. The sudden cold creeping into their armour.

They searched. Unaware of the cause of the temperature change or the presence that had joined them.

*Whoosh*

"What was that? Stay alert."

They got into a circle formation facing outward.

Surveying the room. It had 2 entrance but only one had a door. The windows where bared there was no going in or out. The furniture where covered with white sheets and from the windows a gentle breeze blow in so slightly.

The room was illuminated by the lights of street lamps that snack through the windows and the light of their flashlight attachments.

*Whoosh*

"Again?"

"Shoot anything that moves."

*Whoosh*

"Over there think I saw something move."

*RATATA*

*RATATATA*

They opened fire in that direction riddlng everything in that general vicinity with holes.

They finally stopped.

"Reloading." A few called out.

*Whoosh*

This time the sound was accompanied by the sheets being flung into the air then gently cascading down.

"Fire" shouted the commander.

They aimed their guns high and...

*RATATA*

They shot. Their faces and room flashed with the orange light of the gunfire. The room noisy with the sound of gun shots and dropping rounds. The pungent smell of gunpowder filled the air.

"We got him right?" Someone questioned.

"Not quite." Said a cold distorted voice.

Before appearing in front of him delivering a powerful [Claw Strike] to his gut sending him hurling into the person behind him.

Without pause he leg swept two of the people close by and linked in a low front roll using the force to step on their heads, slaming them into the ground.

By now they had had time to realise what was happening and were training their guns on him.

"Fuck. Fire. Shoot him. Shoot him!" The commander screamed.

*RATATA*

[Claw Strike] an impromptu attack made solely for Dante's Black Ink persona were he punches a person with his claws.

Again there bullets hit nothing but furniture.

*BOOM*

They heard a loud sound from behind and turned around to find the teammate who had been sent flying was now knocked out.

The remaining felt fear like never before. An enemy they couldn't see slowing picking them off and there was nothing them could do but wait. Wait for their turn.

"FUCCCKKKK!!!!"

The commander screamed he too, was terrified.

*RATATA*

*CLICK* *CLICK*

He emptied his clip into the surrounding with disregard.

"Show yourself. SHOW YOURSELF." He cried.

"Behind you." Said a familiar yet frightening distorted voice.

"Bastard." Screamed one of them as they tried to turn around.

But alas.

[Restraint]

It was too late.

The sounds of joints popping filled the room. And their bodies dropped like powerless machines.

From their first encounter to their last. They had never once caught a glimpse of this foe.

This was a day that would stay with them forever.

*STEP* *STEP* *STEP*

The sounds of the slowly disappearing footsteps was all that filled their ears as laid there face down. Powerless.

'Now, it time for the last team. I have to separate them from the leader, to make my life easy.' Dante thought, making his way to the kitchen.
