"What a quirk assessment test!?" Shouted a group of kids in a field.

These kids were the students of class 1A.

"Yes, the nice thing about UA is they don't follow traditional rules. The curriculum is dictated not by the government but by the teachers themselves." Said Shota Aizawa to the children. "This means I can very well do whatever I please."

"That's not fair." yelled one of the kids.

"It's not fair, is it? Deal with it. There is nothing fair about life. 80% of the world is born with quirk while the other 20% are quirkless. And even if you are lucky enough to be born with a quirk, it doesn't necessarily mean you will be strong." Shota Aizawa responded."The world would have you believe that everyone is equal. When that couldn't be further from the truth. This assessment will help me decide whether you are qualified to even be here." Aizawa continued glaring at the students.

While Shota Aizawa was lecturing the students.

At the back of the group, Dante asked Calvin. "What do you think of this quirk assessment test?"

"Does it even matter?" Calvin responded with a shrug.

"I guess not. At least not to us anyway." Dante chuckled.

Their brief little conversation was heard by Momo Yaoyorozu, a fellow student who happened to be in earshot.

'What are they talking about? I heard of these guys. Like me, they got into UA (the school) through recommendation. They didn't have to go through any recruitment trial.

Thus, reason dictates that they should be unaware of the strength and abilities of our fellow classmates, and yet they are so confident.' Thought Momo Yaoyorozu.

"Yeah, I guess a quirk assessment test could be fun."

"Yeah, let's do this."

Shouted a few of the kids, getting excited about the test.

"Fun?" Shota Aizawa parroted.

"Oh, one more thing I forgot to mention. Whoever comes in last will be judged as having no potential and will be expelled immediately." He added.

"What??" The students screamed.

"You..you..you. You can't do that." One student stuttered.

"I can, and I will. If you don't believe me. Try coming in last." Shota Aizawa smiled slightly.

"Alright, let's get started." He called, giving them no opportunity to adjust.

"What do you think now?" Dante asked Calvin again.

"Same answer." He responded blandly.

Dante laughed a bit. "Yeah." Then he continued patting Calvin on the shoulder."Remember to hold back."

"Mmh." He hummed in acknowledgement.

"A lot." Dante added.

Momo Yoayorozu, who had heard the entire conversation, was freaking out completely at their level of confidence.

They were being tested with the threat of expulsion on the line. And yet not only were these guys completely unbothered. They were planning to hold back. And by a lot.

'Everyone here is stressed and are most likely going to give it their all. These guy however are different. And from the looks of it, it didn't look like they were bluffing.' Momo Yoayorozu's mind raced.

'Wait. Could it be that they figured out that expulsion is just a hoax? One created by Mr. Aizawa to motivate us. Yeah, that's it. That's the only reasonable explanation.' She reasoned. Then sighed.

The first test was a 50-meter dash. Dante and Calvin watched on as two of their class stepped up to the line. Then run the 50-meter distance as fast as they could with the aid of their quirks.

During these tests, they were allowed to use their quirks to its fullest extent.

They continue to watch those that followed.

" they are not good. I don't see them surviving against an actual villain. D list villains maybe but anything more and they are dead." Calvin observed plainly.

"Haha, yeah it might be true, but they are kids. They still have a lot of room to grow." Dante laughed.

"We are kids too." Remaked Calvin with confusion.

"Yeah, but they are normal. While we grew up in... umm.. interesting environments." Dante chuckled.

They watched Tenya Lida use his [engine] to speed up earning him a score of 3.75 seconds.

"His quirk is based on speed, and yet he's only that fast?" Calvin Kight asked.

"Dude, stop being so judgemental." Dante groaned awkwardly.

'This guy, how are you going to make any friends if you keep unintentionally mocking them.' Dante cried.

Calvin, wen't silent and watched on with Dante.

Soon.

"Dante. Calvin. Stop standing there and get to the starting line." Shouted Shota Aizawa at them.

Momo Yaoyorozu watched the two leisurely walk over to the starting line.

'[Sonic]? No, that's too much for this. I should use, Sora? Sown? sono? sorw? No, that's not it. it's Soru. Yeah, Soru. Nah, even [Soru] might be too much. This is so annoying. Forget it.' Dante sighed internally.

They both got into the starting position.

Dante exhaled.

Calvin's eyes flashed blue briefly.

The signal went off.

*BEEP*

[Soru]

They both disappeared and reappeared at the finished line instantly.

"Time 0.8 secs."

"Time 1.3 secs."

By activating his quirk even if for a short while, Calvin can temporarily gain the strength and physique needed to perform the [Rokushiki] from one piece.
